It would just be super part time, weekends. Five hour gigs, $150 Saturday and Sunday, with of course chances to do more whenever I want. I shot him a text if he wanted a W-2 and he just said cash.
He said he'd pay masons with experience upwards of $50 per hour.
He seems like a chill, yet anti-government guy. This isn't his fulltime job either, just a personal business.
I did some independent contracting with Doordash and Uber Eats this year, so I sort of know I could keep track of what he pays, saving 25% in my "tax vault" savings account, and report my earnings. Call myself an independent contractor doing odd jobs for this man. This wouldn't get him into any trouble would it?
Or is it easier to just take his money, call it a neighbor doing a little job for his neighbor like lawn mowing?
