A list of puns related to "Man versus Horse Marathon"
Man versus Horse marathon
The setting
Llanwyrtd Wells (pronounced βclan-oo-er-tidβ for those not familiar with the Welsh language) is set in the heart of mid Wales and, although claiming to be the smallest town in the UK, is really rather busy when it comes to sports. It is home to the bog snorkelling world championships as well as the World Alternative Games (incorporating wife carrying, husband dragging, bath tub race against a train, the Pooh sticks championships and office chair racing, among many many other sports). Legend has it that the barman at the Neuadd (βnayarthβ) Arms, former headquarters of the Monster Raving Loony Party overheard a drunken bet between two patrons over whether or not a runner could beat a horse over a long distance on the surrounding hills and so a race was born. It took 25 years for a runner (Huy Lobb) to beat a horse for the first time in 2004, with the achievement only being repeated once since.
Background
This is the bit where Iβm supposed write something about the amazing training Iβve been doing and my great preparation for the race, but the truth is: I did none. My life has been really rather complicated these last six months, resulting in my cancelling all planned events, with the exception of this one. I hadnβt ran over 10 miles since competing in the brutal Marsden to Edale Trigger race (24 miles, 3677 ft) in January. Truth be told, I lost a lot of motivation after completing 68.5 miles in a 24-hour race, Thunder Run 24, in July last year and, just when I was getting my running mojo back, I took a tumble at a local fell race, putting me out of action for another few weeks. I struggled through the Trigger but was genuinely conscious of symptoms of fatigue as I had grumbled, fumbled, mumbled, stumbled and tumbled my way across the boggy wintry open moorland of the Peak District, UK.
In the lead up to the Man versus Horse marathon, I was aware that I could drop down from the whole race to take a place in a relay team, running between 7 and 7.5 miles, but rather belligerently I decided to stay in the full race; mostly because I was quite happy to run myself into the ground knowing that I had no more races planned, as well the fact that, having done the race once before in a relay team and twice solo, I knew the race and I knew I loved it! I could quite easily stop at a relay change over and get a coach back to the venue if I so needed.

Ordered on tuesday night and got it today. Really happy I even got the opportunity to get some before they went to seed banks. Also shoutout for giving more accurate flowering times rather than these other breeders that claim "55-60 days" lol. Will be planting one soon so I'll see first hand if this really is the best "OG" auto thats been released so far.
Anyone know what's so special about marathon og the photo strain? Ive never heard of it prior to ordering but i have heard a lot about bruce banner. The insta pic daz posted was what sold me on choosing this one and the stuff he mentioned on the podcast. Im assuming BB3 is a sativa and M OG is an indica?
Yeah. He was the Centaur for Disease Control
Doctors described his condition as stable
Hello everyone!
I've created this post a bit later, as today was a long day. As someone said in the previous post, from now on, an uninterrupted list of masterpieces begins. It begins with The Man Who Sold The World, released in 1970.
I can't say much of interest on an album that is perfect, that we all know so well and that has made history. Still, I'll share some thoughts written during the listening experience of today.
The Width of a Circle
an amazing rocking song where Bowie sings about having sex with the devil. I can't put it better than this! I really like the second half of it, I think it's fantastic. Pure sexiness and energy!
All the madmen
I've always loved this song. It's just perfect. Both musically and lyrically.
> 'Cause I'd rather stay here > > With all the madmen > > Than perish with the sad men > > Roaming free
Black Country Rock
Listening to this, I think about the fact that what makes this album great, between many things, is just how well it works musically. It's just so fluently crafted.
After All
Another of my favorite songs.
> But some sit in silence > > They're just older children
The atmosphere of this song and its overtone are full of darkness and mystery. It's a song about the circle of life, about growth as a loss, as opposed to something desirable.
Saviour Machine
Great piece. Once again, Messianism appears in Bowie. I wonder if, beyond the sci-fi appearence, this song isn't about our state, and how, in order to address our problems, we generated a series of problems a magnitude bigger.
The Man Who Sold the World
What to say about one of the greatest songs ever written?
> I gazed a gazely stare > > At all the millions here > > We must have died alone > > A long long time ago
More than anything, this song makes me think about being lost or, actually, about being collectively lost. A mistake has been made, something has been irreparably damaged. Or perhaps it was supposed to be this way? Perhaps this realization is a necessary step?
If you haven't already, listen to the incredible version of the song from the Outside sessions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nNm7_Z4_1LY
It's truly amazing, a completely different vibe, but equally fitting.
That's all, now I'll go to listen to this album again and again, because it's just this good, and it's good to visit old friends again.
Hope to read your experiences!

Here's the incredible story of Mauro Prosperi, who survived several days alone in the Sahara desert after getting lost during the Marathon des Sables.
Re-listening to The older episodes - haven't listened to them for a few years - Anyhow one of the things that I noticed about the first two episodes is there are background sounds in those episodes - like battle sounds or horses or little enhancements like that - Don't get me wrong I still love those old episodes - just throwing out there that Dan has tweaked some things since the first couple of episodes -
No Blast, King or Watchdog Man in the hero side as two of them are too featless and unknown and King murder stomps Baryon Mode Naruto with negative difficulty. Battle would happen in a long grass field and to the death.
R1: They know nothing about each other.
R2: They know everything about each other's abilities.
R3: They know each other and are blood lusted.
R4: Every Akatsuki member is at their absolute peak (Juubito, Itachi with no sickness, etc.)
