Peace, everyone. Read a comment that said the repress of madvillainy that someone received was "so badly warped that it wasn't playable" does anyone else have experience with this? I'd rather pay the small premium for an older copy if it means better quality. Ordered it with the gold chains edition of the further adventures of Quasimoto, just wanna know if I'm gonna get my money's worth. Thanks yall! Peace
Heads up in case you been waiting https://www.stonesthrow.com/store/madvillainy/
After like 2 years I came across βBorn like thisβ. And now itβs my favorite DOOM project. How is it possible that this masterpiece was kept from me even though I was digging? Maybe because he released it under only βDOOMβ and therefor it just doesnβt show up in MF DOOMS discography and you have to search for it like his other projects? How on earth is it possible that it took me almost two years to get into Born like this? Even on here people arenβt talking about it enough. Itβs easily one of his top 3 projects. I recently made a post about βCellzβ and I still think that might be his best Track period.

Hello people of Reddit, a platform I have admittedly avoided using for years (so forgive me if I'm misusing this site in some unintentionally horrific way). I am writing a book about Madvillainy for Bloomsbury's 33 1/3 series: https://333sound.com/announcing-the-latest-33-1-3s/
The book is mostly written from the fan's perspective, and I want to include some quotes from fans about how they discovered the album, what it means to them, etc. I'm particularly interested in how social media impacted fans' discovery & appreciation of the album. So if you have anything to share about how you discovered the album, theories you discussed about DOOM, connecting with other fans around the world, etc., that would be great. If anyone was around during the stone's throw message board days and wants to comment on that, I'd love to hear about it.
I don't know what the best way to do this is and I haven't quite thought it through. But I know that I do want to include some quotes from fans about what the album means to them, and how the internet (either in 2004 or later) affected their relationship with it. I guess if you want to share anything in the comments here for possible inclusion in the book, please do. Or email me at wthagle@Gmail.com
Thanks all.
One of the best albums MF DOOM and Madlib ever did. The beats in Madvillainy was around in 2002 to 2004, which turned to Another Hundred, however, some of the songs were made after the leak into the cyberspace and the change of beats since Madlib couldnβt find the sample used.
MADVILLAINY
RIP to the supervillain, MF DOOM.

Glad to finally present what was my dissertation for my degree - a sequel and tribute to Madvillainy. My aim was to accompany DOOM accapellas with an imitation of Madlibβs eclectic sample-based production. All of the music is sampled from records picked up at my local record shop and charity shops, chopped on my sampler and mixed and mastered on Logic.
Enjoy!!
So last night I listened to Madvillainy for the second time. The first time, I didnβt listen to it thoroughly and thus didnβt think much of it, but after I saw the rhyme scheme on Meat Grinder, I knew I had to come back to it for a more focused listen. And this album is amazing. The lyrics are amazing, the rhyme schemes are the best Iβve ever heard, the flows are great, and the delivery is flawless. Pair that with the amazing, cartoonish sounding beats that line the album from front to back and you get one of the greatest albums of all time. This is one of the easiest 10/10s Iβve ever given and unlike with MF DOOMβs name, thatβs no cap. I slept on this one for way too long.
Before you judge my basic taste, I'm just getting into collecting vinlys and these two albums have been amazing to me so I decided to buy them. I've been looking around for the best deal on discogs etc... and couldn't really find good ones. Is there a good site you guys know where I can get good deals from a trustworthy source. I've seen some good prices on e-bay but I don't know if that's really reliable. Thanks in advance for your input!
Not that I think the albums have a whole lot in common just the more I listen to it I feel some similarities to Madvilliany especially with the more interlude style tracks such as END CREDITS, OG, and NICE. Obviously MF DOOM is a big influence of Peggy and I'm sure Madvillainy is one of his favorite albums but did anybody else feel that way?
