Okay so I go to a gym thatβs always annoyingly crowded but today (morning after thanksgiving) it was even more so. I got there at 8:30 and was waiting for the smith machine to do hip thrusts but there was a bag on the ground with weights on the rack, so I just assumed it was being used.
So I go through my entire work out and Iβm just waiting for the person to move it (never saw them over there, but I wasnβt watching super close the entire time) and around 9:30 i started watching closely Bc i wanted to use it before I left. I watched for 5 minutes with no one there, so i finally went over to move the bench/weights. I stood there for like a minute looking around to see if anyone would saying anything, but right when I touch the bench OFC some guy comes over from another section saying he had one more set. I told him I had been watching the machine for 5-10 minutes and he hadnβt been over, so if he had one more set he should hurry up and finish.
It was so awkward because everyone was staring at the weights section is such a βboys clubβ and I hate it. I made eye contact with another woman and got no support, but she prob just wasnβt paying attention lol Was I in the wrong? I could have been nicer but it was awkward af. I donβt mind super sets if the gym isnβt busy and youβre being quickβ¦ but an hour with your bag and weights by a machine seems ridiculous to me.
Just curious what your preference is. Feel free to explain, or not. Alternatively, do you have a favorite Damned record that isn't one of those two?
Hello, Iβm new to the CCW community. I was wondering what the etiquette is when visiting friends and family. Should I leave my firearm in the car? If Iβm staying overnight, should I bring a safe/lock? Should I tell them Iβm carrying?
Over the Thanksgiving weekend I was traveling and spent the night with family. (Safe place, no crime to speak of, but they are anti-gun people.) While visiting other family that night a suspicious person was spotted on the property and someone rang the doorbell and ran away. I wished I was armed in that situation, but I had decided to leave my firearm at home.
I live in PA. Iβm also not too familiar with all of the pertinent laws.
TIA for any advice.
Highly doubt this message will get across to the offenders of this on Reddit of all places, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to put this out there. This behaviour is rampant at Bovaird and McLaughlin Goodlife and it's hella irritating. Split off into groups of two, no one should have to wait for four or more people taking turns doing five sets each on one machine, especially if there's only one of said machine at the gym.
I know we have some fans in here and just bought myself a copy of the red vinyl so thought I'd share.
