A list of puns related to "Lungs (album)"
Iβm looking for recommendations that will take me on a trip like this album does, the Indian style sitar sound, the therapeutic repetitiveness of some sections, the psychedelic soundscape and the overall sound mixing. And even if it doesnβt meet the criteria, recommend anything that you think matches.
How does everyone not know about this?

Looking forward to giving it a listen... after work. Sigh
So back in 2019 my band, Cold in Berlin, released our latest album. I worked so hard on it that I almost had a breakdown but I'm really proud of what we achieved. Unfortunately the record never really found its audience β partly due to Covid and partly due to the mystical forces of the music industry.
Here's hoping the discerning people of this thread will give it a listen!
It's not doom by numbers and there's all sorts of other genres mixed up in there, but hopefully still ok to post it here.
The first track is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xB9q6V5H2_Y and the rest of the album is available wherever you get your albums (bandcamp, probably!). If you like it, please consider sharing it. I'd love to see it find its way into more hands.

Really good bluesy and tone-driven occult rock. Iβd just post one song, but every song on the album is honestly amazing
Would love some musician input!
I was listening to CL tonight and realized itβs mixed so differently than most RK albums (guitars were not nearly as heavy as previous except Donβt Blink and few moments in other songs...)
Perhaps because it was mixed more as a pop album, and thatβs one of the main reasons why fans donβt like it? Im thinking this because a lot of the musical theory choices Thiessen makes in a lot of the songs are pretty brilliant ie the bridge in Gloria (1:49), but if it were mixed more like their pop punk style it wouldβve been received better?
Even the harmonies hidden throughout different tracks are fricken bops (imo lol).
Idk, just some late night thoughts.
> After several weeks away with a serious case of COVID-19, Stephen A. Smith returned to βFirst Takeβ and gave a public service announcement about his experiences with the virus, in addition to his inevitable trolling of the Dallas Cowboys and their fans. > > Smith explained that he was hospitalized over New Years, and that he didnβt know if he was going to make it. > > βFor me personally, it hit me differently,β he said. > > Smith tested positive in mid-December but it really hit him right before his hospitalization. > > βYouβre assuming that youβll have a fever, might have a cough, gonna have that massive headache β but youβll get over it,β he said. βIn a lot of cases that was the case. In my case it was totally different. > > βI had 103 degree fever every night. Woke up with chills and a pool of sweat. Headaches were massive. Coughing profusely. And it got to a point where right before New Yearβs Eve, I was in the hospital into New Yearβs Day. Thatβs how I brought in the New Year.β > > > ---- > > He said that his doctors told him he would have died had he not been vaccinated. > > βThey told me, had I not been vaccinated, I wouldnβt be here. Thatβs how bad it was. I had pneumonia in both lungs. My liver was bad. It had ravaged me to the point where even now I have monitor my volume β get to the gym every day, walk before you run. Work your way back because Iβm still not 100 percent with my lungs, but Iβm COVID negative. Iβm on the road to recovery. > > βBut if it wasnβt for several doctors, I wouldnβt be here. Love and respect for what they did. Love and respect for people in the sports community and ESPN executives for checking on me every single day. Dave Roberts, Norby Williamson, Jimmy Pitaro β I canβt thank you enough.β > > ---- > > Smith advocated for people to wear masks to protect others. > > βEverybodyβs different, he said. βMy sister smokes and she had COVID and she was fine in 3-4 days. Me? I donβt smoke and it almost took me out. > > βI think the one thing to emphasize the importance of, no matter how you feel about the vaccine, that mask is important. The reason why the mask is so important is you donβt know how the next person is affected. How Iβm affected is different from you are affected.
