BJT load line confusion

It's said that the intersection between the characteristic curve of the BJT and the load line defines the possible operation points of the circuit.

From one of these load line diagrams, we can see that the load line intersects the Y axis at IC=VCC/RC at point A.

https://www.tutorialspoint.com/basic_electronics/images/characteristics.jpg

I'm trying to resolve two seemingly contradicting things:

  1. From measurement and/or simulation, I can force IB higher until VCE is on the order of tens of millivolts and IC=VCC/RC. This corresponds more or less to point A on the diagram above.
  2. From the diagram above, point A should not be a possible operating point, since it doesn't intersect the BJT characteristic curves.

What am I missing?

I added one line of liquid code to disable lazy load of my hero image, and my LCP improved from 3.5 seconds to 1.2 seconds.

I just switched to a premium 2.0 theme and the Google core web vitals were terrible after publishing the new theme. I narrowed the problem down to the hero image, which is only 80kb. The dev support team recommended a single line of code to disable lazy load of that section, and my speed rocketed to green after the change. I have no idea why that couldn't be an option in the editor, or why a hero image would lazy load in the first place.

Have you found any other simple changes that made a big impact on your site speed?

Antigen test: Does the "strength" of the line correlate with infectiousness/viral load?

Hi all,

yesterday I took a precaution test and it has a unfanthomly faint line on the T. Like, barely visible, I had to strain my eye to see it. Today I took another one and it is as faint (if not fainter). Regardless, I am playing it safe (booked the PCR, warned contacts, isolating since yesterday). But while I wait my PCR, I am wondering, does the strength of the line correlate with my viral load? Am I less contagious with such a line? with I have no symptoms btw.

Again, I am playing it safe, as we cannot know for sure, but was just curious.

Thanks!

EDIT: PCR negative!

Just purchased a home and want to replace all 2 prong outlets with 3 prongs. Can't find out what outlets are line/load

My fiancΓ©e and I just purchased a home. The majority of the house still has 2 pronged receptacles. Some of the outlets that are 3 pronged don't have anything connected to the ground terminal. I want to move everything to 3 terminal, and my understanding is that I can add a GFCI outlet to the first outlet in a circuit, which would protect everything downstream of that outlet.

I killed power to the master bedroom today, and pulled out all (3) the outlets. None of them have pairs of line/load wires. They all have only one hot wire, and one neutral wire. How can I figure out where the power is coming in into the room?

Alternatively, we are upgrading the service panel from 100 A to 200 A. That will also bring the circuit breakers into the 21st century. Does the electrical code require that all breakers are CAFCI/GFCI? If so, does that mean that all outlets will be protected way down at the source at the panel, so that theoretically, the outlets can have an unconnected ground terminal?

First shotgun very stiff to load (Blue line Chinese shotgun)

I recently purchase my first shotgun ever, a $160 Chinese made "Blue Line" branded clone of the 870. I'm on a budget guys, please forgive me.

It has been super fun and I have shot 45 shells of 00 buck at the range with zero problems except....

it is super stiff to load, like I have to stop and push super hard when loading the magazine tube. I think it might be the loading gate because (tell me if this is unsafe) when I have the bolt half open (pump halfway) I can slide in the shells super easy. Other than that it pumps, cycles and shoots smoothly.

Is this normal? Is there a break-in period or something? Or is this just part of getting cheap imported stuff?

Command line web browser that can load JavaScript sites

Command line browsers like w3m can’t display dynamic webpages obviously since they just render the raw HTML response if I understand correctly.

But you can easily get the text content of a rendered webpage with tools like Selenium, Puppeteer and Playwright. I’m not sure what the proper term is to describe what these tools have in common but maybe it’s as simple as being a β€œheadless browser” or a browser driver or something. Maybe the most minimalistic way to pull off what these tools do is programs that can execute all the JavaScript in the page and then also execute JavaScript to extract the text content of the rendered page? Or maybe there is more going on under the hood as well, not sure.

Anyway, I’m trying to have much better, more user friendly internet surfing abilities from the command line. Honestly, lynx and w3m feel almost obsolete with the modern web. I feel like there must be something better.

Apart from doing Selenium live from the command line or something, or maybe the Python library webbrowser, is there any already built command line tool or browser for surfing the internet much more freely and effectively, which can easily render JavaScript pages as plaintext?

Thank you
