A list of puns related to "List of video game genres"
And in that group, what are the best ones?
These arenβt really genres but more like game types... I said genres in the title for simplicity.
Iβm sure thereβs more, add any missing ones in the comments.
The Wikipedia page for Google Stadia lists all games currently announced. The table also includes the genres, studios and releasedates.
Great resource. Big thanks to all contributors!

I'm trying to divide my library of SNES and NES games in to genre folders. About 14 of them.
Any one have a good resource listing all the games by primary genre? I'm using power shell to automate the process. I hear tell of a spread sheet floating around that would list every game in the SNES library at least, by Genre.
Have:
One Piece Burning Blood
J-STARS Victory VS+
Dragonball Xenoverse 2
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4
ArcaniA: The Complete Tale (+DLC)
BattleWorldsKronos
Destroy All Humans!
Destroy All Humans! 2

Hey guys, I was diagnosed with autism at age 13 (Iβm now 19). I was also diagnosed with Touretteβs at 7. I had violent full body tics and school caused such severe anxiety (which in turn caused the tics) that I had to drop out of school in the middle of 9th Grade. I went to a lot of different doctors, some of which thought I was untreatable. I was also hospitalized many times, and I had to miss a lot of things I wanted to do. Basically what we found was that most of the medications I was on were toxic for me and not working as intended. It took me years to finally get medically stable and Iβm now working on getting my GED.
Anyway, there was one thing that kept me sane, and that was the video game Destiny. Iβve done numerous creative projects with the game, but today Iβm releasing the one Iβm the proudest of. Itβs called Geomantic, and it was a massive collaboration between me and 6 other musicians. What makes me especially proud of it is that I oversaw it. I, an autistic, managed to coordinate and communicate with everyone and make it exist. I just wanted to post it here because Iβm extremely proud of this project and I thought that maybe some of you might appreciate some music that was partly made by someone on the spectrum.
Hi I always wanted to create a video game and due to Quarantine Iβm finally able to follow my passion and would like to make a game people can help me with and enjoy
Edit: Iβm using Unity as I canβt afford anything past free, if you guys have another free suggestion please link them below thank you very much for you responses
Edit 2: when enough progress is made Iβll show what Iβve done and how the game is βsupposedβ to play
Does such a dataset exist? Would be grateful for any resources. :)
So we all know game genres can be pretty terrible at times. Genres named after specific games (Metroidvania, Roguelike, Diablo clone), ones that are really ambiguous (RPG, Adventure, Turn Based Strategy) or ones that don't really describe what they are (Character Action, Casual).
Only you, today's King of Video Games, can save us by coming up with better names or conventions.
Self explanatory.
I find that pretty much every single game developer/gaming site that posts here, always falls into these three categories or more. Let's play video game writing bingo:
This is primarily aimed at "gaming sites" and also various game developers.
If say a post's payment is below the stated 5 cents, don't warn them, don't suggest better terms or try to negotiate with them. Delete their post in a timely manner, and tempban them. If they suddenly write back and ask why they were banned, explain they broke the rules, and posting similar terms again will. Especially if they're masquerading as a legit post, then doing shady business behind the scenes. If they do the same thing down the line, permanently ban them from the community.
I don't know why this happens, but I think it simply is the kind of people who does these sorts of things. Obviously not everyone is like this. However, it seems like almost everyone who makes a post hiring for this stuff breaks the budget rule, abandons post when they get called out, and don't get penalized for their behavior.

I mod r/DrawForMe, and we follow a similar policy when it comes to people wanting free art for commercial purposes. We have a zero tolerance for this, and those that post free requests for company logos, album covers or the like are not just immediately deleted, but banned for one week. Rarely our offenders write back asking why they're banned (they usually know they are breaking the rules full well), and typically if they do they're basically arguing their case to why they should get free artwork. If any of those accounts post the sa
