If you are unsure whether Flight Simulator is your type of game make a list of places you want to see and go explore them. THAT is what hooks you!

I am doing this at the request of a few people who have suggested I make this a post rather than a comment so that additional locations can be added. I've added a few locations myself in addition to what I put.

If you are or even if you are not interested in playing Flight Simulator 2020 here is what I suggest people do. Start coming up with a list of cool things you want to see in Flight Simulator. If you have a list and you don't just fly between two cities it is really cool. A lot of people fire up the game hop into a 747, fly straight and level for 500 miles, get bored and then quit. If you do that you are missing out on a huge world of really incredible things to see. You can also use it to better inform yourself on things going on in the world or even use it to learn about history! Instead, get into something like a Beechcraft and go explore scenic places. I have a list of all the places that I have checked and here are some of the top ones I would suggest:

  • Normandy Beach (fly the whole thing from West to East. It helps you understand how massive that operation was on D-Day.)
  • Auschwitz-Berkenau - This was pretty sobring to see actually. The population has grown a ton since WW2, but it is still crazy how dense the population is around that area and how all that took place right there.
  • Chernobyl Disaster Site, Pripyat Ukraine
  • Upottery Airfield. It is not being used today, but this is where many bombing runs into France took off from in WW2. It is also where American airmen took off on D-Day. It was made famous most recently from Band of Brothers in Episode 2. If you think doing this takes hours of flying it doesn't often times airports are within a 10 minute flight from a location you want to see!
  • Grand Canyon
  • Pyramids of Giza, Egypt.
  • Roman Colosseum, Italy
  • Great Wall of China. It is there. It is ungodly long and you really do not understand how long it is until you fly the length of it. And this was built by MAN.
  • Vatican City If you try to land here use the street leading to the square as your runway ;)
  • Alcatraz Island/ Golden Gate Bridge
  • Arlington National Cemetary
  • North Korea / South Korea security complex (the one with the blue buildings)
  • NFL Fans, do a stadium tour! If you get mods (not sure if the console version will have it) I took off in an F22 Rapter Fighter Jet from Minneapolis. Flew over US Bank Stadium, then over to Lambeau field, then Soldier Field, th

Can all games work off any external hard drive? I'm thinking of moving Flight Simulator 2020 to an external as it takes a third of my Series S space. Will loading times, etc. be affected? Are there any penalties in doing so?

As the title suggests, I want to open up space by moving some of the bigger games to an external hard drive. I remember reading somewhere that optimized games don't work, but not 100% sure. Is that when the game has a label saying "Optimised for X|S"? The official Seagate HDD is a bit too expensive.

πŸ”ΈJurassic World Evolution 2 introduces a compelling, new narrative campaign, incredible new features, and awe-inspiring new dinosaurs brought to life with captivating authenticity https://store.steampowered.com/app/1244460/Jurassic_World_Evolution_2/

There isn't one but two dinosaur management games to tell you about. The first is Jurassic World Evolution 2. It is a sequel to Frontier Developments 2018, movie inspired, groundbreaking and immersive dinosaur park builder and manager.

This one will introduce a new narrative campaign, several new features and for the first time flying and marine dinosaurs. The construction and customization options are also getting expanded to allow you to build bigger, better and more authentic Jurassic parks for over 75 different prehistoric species. If you have played Planet Coaster or Planet zoo from the same developers you are familiar with the gameplay.

The sequel introduces brand new behaviors for dinosaur interactions: fighting for dominance and reacting intelligently to the world around them. Players can use bioengineering to customize their animals with new colors and patterns, as well as to alter their genomes to unlock different traits.

Besides launching on PC the game will also be released on the last two generations of Xbox and Playstation with four gameplay modes to

Looking for subs where people post specific kinds of gaming setups: I'm talking custom-built setups for specific games. For example, a full-on flight simulator for someone who plays Flight Sim or Kerbal Space Program, a full-on immersive racing setup for racing games, etc. Examples in description.

I was wondering if any subs exist where people make stuff like this:

Even just custom-made controllers for games like the first link would be acceptable. I'm thinking about making some custom controllers to enhance the immersion, and have no idea where to look for a sub like this. Most people just call these "simulators" as far as I can tell, so that's not very specific. Any ideas, subreddit or otherwise, would be appreciated! Thank you!

There's so many bots it's not a competetive game but a simulation. (Made a list of their names.)

Set up (and deleted) several accounts with some of them going up to division 4 and faced the same bots again and again after starting over - and I wondered: Why did these accounts (equipped with guardians and the likes) I already had battled so often in the middle division suddenly compete against absolute noobs with measly lancers? :D

There rarely was a cpc in the lower divisions where my account faced one real opponent... And that doesn't change much until middle divisions.

It simply is a simulation. That's all. There was a redditor in this sub who commented it on all posts a few weeks ago - now I know what he was talking about.

List is by far not complete. Feel free to add bot accounts you met during match simulations.
