A list of puns related to "List of outdoor industry parent companies"
So during Easter dinner/lunch today we started talking about knives. We live in southern OH so this is pretty common. Anyway i mentioned to my parents that my squiddy b hadn't shipped yet. We got to talking about it and dad asked where I ordered it from. As soon as he asked that I knew I was in for some pain. I (very sheepishly) answered "squid industries". Well as you might imagine someone who didnt know the backstory of why its called that (if you dont you should look it up its pretty cool) it sounds ridiculous. They are convinced that squid industries is not a real business, and it is a scam. I tried to tell them that EVERYONE that flips balisongs knows about them, but they wouldnt listen. Cant wait to get my package and redeem myself lol.
I normally use wikipedia but itβs not always helpful. This seems like something that should be very transparent and visible to the public, even if required by law. So Iβm hoping thereβs a way to see it.
edit: i found this guide that iβm going to check out
Really want to start making more of a conscious effort to support black/indigenous/people of color owned businesses and would be stoked if there are any making outdoor gear.
I think Brown Girls Climb is an awesome project and I found Outdoor Afro through a google search, which seems really cool too.
I havenβt, however, really found any gear focused companies. Posting this in r/ul just because I know the community here is very knowledgeable and active, but companies donβt have to be just backpacking gearβ definitely interested in bipoc owned companies in any area of the outdoor industry!
So yeah, I would love to hear any suggestions!! I feel like the outdoor industry is slowly becoming more diverse and self aware (hopefully) and I really want to do what I can to help facilitate that (and hopefully buy some cool gear in the process). Thanks!
I'm working on my brothers and I just don't want to start from scratch. I know in quickbooks desktop you can usually choose this stuff when setting up a company. Unfortunately he already tried to set it up himself before giving up and begging me to help.
Everything I try to google just gives me how to import existing lists (which we don't have)... This would save me a lot of time and I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
Those master βBest Companiesβ lists are gamed heavily by companies who can afford a person to do the legwork of collecting the right looking data, and often are rated on things that all companies technically have now (but not everyone at the companies can access anyway).
Iβm looking to find anecdotal evidence of companies really doing the Right/Best/Generous thing for employees in the Pandemic. Like.... a dream list of places people should want to apply to work given how surprisingly kind/generous/realistic they were with employees over the last year. Did any Working Mom actually get the mythical company-paid meal kits sent to their home?
Who were the companies who set up those onsite schools w staff to facilitate remote learning?
Extra PTO or reduced hours at same pay?
Letβs hear βem!
I'm trying to study companys that I want to work at when I attain the proper skills.
What companies do you know of in the outdoor recreation industry that has a mainly remote workforce?
