A list of puns related to "List of films featuring colonialism"
Can you list festive films which demonstrate a failed break-in - e.g. The Grinch and Home Alone
https://www.inhabitantsfilm.com/about
This film isnβt widely available yet but I was lucky enough to see a pre-screening, and I think it brings up many topics folks here might be interested in. Some reflections:
Indigenous people in North America have already survived one round of collapse. Their populations were decimated and they faced immense cultural losses. We can learn from their experiences.
When you criticize capitalism/industrialism/our society by saying things like βhumans are a cancer on this planetβ/βwithout fossil fuels we will have a massive reduction in quality of lifeβ/βthe only option is to keep working my shitty office job and make money for the overlordsβ you are buying into and promoting cultural myths. There are other ways of lives and cultures that have understood and practiced sustainability long before any of our great-grandparents were born.
Modern farming practices have destroyed a lot of the resiliency of the natural world. Maybe you canβt change the entire country, but finding and supporting local efforts to manage our relationship with the natural world better will increase your communityβs resiliency.
Edit: It turns out the world premiere of this film is now open and you can watch it for free! I highly recommend it. Link [here] (https://watch.eventive.org/dceff2021/play/603d4f87bee5720045b5cf9c?fbclid=IwAR3S9y8QdWOIUyw10MlectQFuVJYraJdhjPemyI5tUku9BjzmBmcE18XuLw)

I launched /r/filmpodcasts just over a week ago. The feeds are automated and we can grow the list of shows as we go.
I love podcasts and I love film -- and I especially love the discussions that can come up from a solid episode. If nothing else, it'll be a handy sub to have in your feed.
Here's what we have so far:
Come check us out! If you have any podcast suggestions, PM me and I'll add them. We're aiming to have the best of the best.
