A list of puns related to "List of cities and towns in Montana"
I'm sure there's a population threshold where somebody wouldn't feel the need to list the county anymore, like for the biggest 10 or 20 cities or so.
Also, is it common to respond with just a county when you're asked where you're from? At least in the US it's pretty common to just say your home state when asked that question.
Just curious!
I've never crossed the border before but for some reason I have this dumb 'passport card' that will supposedly get me across. Usually I sleep in the back of my little Subaru on my crash pad. As far as I know I'm allowed to camp anywhere in NFS land not within a mile of a trailhead and it's considered dispersed camping, so that's generally what I do. I'd much prefer to fall asleep with some nature around me, even if it's an extra half hour of driving. But I don't know if that's a thing up there, so I'm looking for advice on where I can sleep in my car (preferably in nature) in Canada!
I also don't know anything about border crossings so I'm taking any advice on that (specifically can I take a ~4 inch fixed blade knife), as well as climbing in Squamish, Alberta, Montana, and City of Rocks. I know it's not exactly climbing related but I'm hoping since it's about dirtbagging it's okay, because I have no clue where else to post this. If not, have mercy!
Basically just what the title says. It started when I was actively looking to buy my own house. I realized how much I enjoyed the architecture, design and decor of different styles of homes. I bought my house a couple of years ago, but I still actively looked at listings.
I find it super relaxing and extremely interesting! However, 80% of the time, I look at houses in Seattle, WA. I don't even live in the U.S., but so far the style of houses in Seattle are my favorite. The Craftsman's being one of my favorite style to look at. I know absolutely nothing about house architecture, just that I'm drawn to it.
I've made it a point to look at a lot of port-cities because they usually have older, historic homes. I also think the differences between city to city and state to state are fascinating!
Aside from staged houses (which I still find beautiful), I think it's really interesting to get a glimpse of how people live/style their homes. Even how wildly different that can be from state to state is really intriguing.
I also find when I'm feeling anxious, it seems to have a calming effect to just look though the listings.
Does anyone else do this regularly or for the same reasons?
Lower cost of living. Less dangerous schools. Less crime in general. Sure there isn't as many job opportunities but if your kinda stuck working a low wage job why not work one where your money spends farther? Cities are expensive, dangerous and overrated. Small towns are so much better.
Hi all
So as per my title really. What is it like living in other towns and cities? I don't care about London lifestyle, just want live in smaller, friendlier places with decent career prospects.
I have lived in pretty much all parts of the UK through work but that was more hotel, expenses paid lifestyle on 1 to 7 months basis where most of the time I returned back to London on weekends.
To me it seemed like most parts of the UK were nice, Wales, South East, Scotland, Wales etc. Maybe didn't like places Birmingham, Leicester but can't think of many bad places.
I noticed people had families much younger, they were happy and more happier than Londoners, perhaps because there was much more of a community feel to places, and access to most good things were still the same (e.g. big supermarkets, leisure facilities etc). Sure there weren't as many choices as London but there were still nice eating places, good pubs, and places to go with people.
I am also aware of my bias in judging these places like this, since pretty much I was living an all expenses paid lifestyle (e.g. hotels etc as mentioned) and was mostly visitng the town centres when strolling around.
If you lived in London and moved out, perhaps you can share your experience too?
Also, would it be in the downtown or in the suburbs (or something else)?
EDIT: And why?
