Hey guys! It's me again, back with another League x Winx Club artwork featuring cutesy Neeko on her Star Guardian Prestige Edition outfit! I had so much fun coloring this piece.
In case you don't know, Winx Club is a magical girl series (same genre as what would Star Guardian be if it's an anime but it's more Sailor Moon) from Italy and fun fact, Kiko, Ahri's orb bunny, coincidentally has the same name as the pet bunny of the protagonist of Winx Club which is Bloom, Fairy of the Dragon Flame!
I just figured how much suitable Neeko's fairy aesthetic would be in the Winx Club style so I gave it a shot!
The shape of her face left much to be desired, compared to the Arts they released.

Now I won’t say that Winx Club fight scenes weren’t interesting because they were! Their use of special effects is rlly good and makes the scenes look pretty. I just don’t think the cinematography and the choreography aren’t that great (However fight scenes in the Magical Adventure and The Secret of the Lost Kingdom Movies were pretty good though).
Just because it’s a show geared towards kids doesn’t mean they can’t have good animation in their fight scenes. Examples of kids shows with good fight scenes include Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Rise of the teenage Mutant Turtles, Motorcity, and the Star Wars animations are few. Also, just because it’s geared towards GIRLS also doesn’t mean it can’t have good fight scenes (ex: Totally Spies, Lolirock, PreCure anime).
Like if Winx Club had better animation I feel like it would draw in a bigger audience and become more popular, but that’s just my opinion.
How is it possible for the CGI to be even WORSE than what was in the season 5 episodes?!
I don't know what it is about Winx Club, but I have trouble watching the dubs outside of either CineLume dub and 4Kids dub ( I know 4Kids as a whole has butchered everything except Yugioh and Pokemon). All of them, but especially the Dubbing Brothers version, of the first movie sound off putting when it comes to the English dialogue.
A good example of this is every time Bloom calls her parents Mike and Vanessa in the Dubbing Brothers version of The Lost Kingdom. No child would ever call their parents by their first name. Every time I hear Bloom refer to her adoptive parents as Mike and Vanessa it makes me cringe hard. Even with all the issues that 4Kids had you have to admit their voice acting talent was top notch and that they had the ability to make the dialogue sound extremely natural sounding. What does everyone else think?
They share the same voice actor! Now, I can picture Jager as one of the teachers in Red Fountain fighting alongside his students with a adapted version of his ADS for magical projectiles and grenades for protection and a laser rifle with a ACOG sight.
