A list of puns related to "List of Webster University campus locations"
I have been looking at the MBA program at the Athens, Greece campus for Webster University.
My contract is up in December and I know it's a bit of a gamble right now, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to move to Greece in January using the Post 9/11.
Is there anyone here who might be able to give some insight?
Would the BAH rate be based on St. Louis or Greece?
Thank you
Hello, I'm a 30 yr old black male from the U.S considering a move to Hua Hin to attend school at Webster University. I'm a Navy veteran, and i'm looking for a change in lifestyle outside of the States. My questions aren't really specific, but Is there any basic information you guys feel like sharing?
Is segregation / racism something i'd have to be mindful of? (Will I get funny looks / stereotyped as a drug dealer because i'm a black american male?)
I know it's not Pattaya or BK, so the night life isnt too out of control, but are there still opportunities to have some fun outside of school on the weekends? (I'm not a party animal, but I like to shoot pool, grab a few drinks, and flirt with the ladies.)
I plan on using my G.I. bill for my education, and I'll be receiving disability. Are there any financial tips I may need to consider? I don't really need much, I just want a change of pace and to finish my schooling overseas.
I stream on twitch as a hobby, I plan on growing my channel, and looking into other internet based content to pass time and earn money. Is the internet / Wifi culture adequate in Hua Hin? (I know Chaing Mai is like the digital nomad capital, but can I still get some online freelance work done while i'm attending school?)
Any information, or advice is greatly appreciated. I really just want to explore a different part of the world, and make the most out of life. Working 2 jobs and being surround around people who only talk about Trump, school shootings, Drake, or LeBron James is getting pretty old.
A wise person I knew once told me that if Earth is our home, why would you want to spend your entire life living inside your bedroom? Words I'd like to live by.
EDIT: I'll also be posting to the /r/ThailandTourism sub too, Sorry if this isnt the appropriate place to post my questions.
or can you just self quarantine yourself at your own studio/room
Many of the law schools I've looked at are located a drive away from the main campus (UVA, Georgetown), making them kinda isolated and drab. I'm wondering if anyone has a compiled list of law schools that are more integrated with campus life?
Hey guys!
Iβve been working on building my homebrew world since early February, and itβs developed enough to begin running campaigns through, so... Iβm looking for adventurers to unlock its secrets! Iβve already got a couple boutique adventure frameworks ready to be explored.
The goal is to have a weekly session on Wednesday evenings starting after fall break. We can work out the exact times in the party Discord if youβre interested.
Iβm also planning on being at the inaugural meeting of the Webster TTRPG club on Thursday if you want to talk more there, but wonβt be able to run my game through them due to a conflicting Fall 2 class.
WALTHAM, MASS. (WHDH) - Brandeis University in Waltham has released an βOppressive Language List,β as well as recommendations for more neutral language, in an effort to promote a more inclusive campus.
βRule of thumb,β βpoliceman,β βspirit animal,β βpicnic,β βlame,β and βladies and gentleman,β are among the commonly used words and phrases that have been deemed oppressive by students and faculty within the universityβs Prevention, Advocacy & Resource Center.
βPARC recognizes that language is a powerful tool that can be used to perpetrate and perpetuate oppression. As a community, weΒ canΒ strive to remove language that may hurt those who have experienced violence from our everyday use,β a statement on PARCβs website reads. βThese recommendations for more-neutral language are brought forth by students who have been subject to violence or who have worked with others who are healing from violence, as well as students who have sought out advanced training for intervening in potentially violent situations.β
The university stressed that the list is meant to be a tool to share information and suggestions and that the use of suggested alternatives is not an expectation or requirement for students and staff.
For example, the school says the term βrule of thumbβ can be replaced with βgeneral ruleβ because the βexpression allegedly comes from an old British law allowing men to beat their wives with sticks no wider than their thumb.β
βPolicemanβ can be replaced with βpolice officerβ because the term βlumps all people under masculine language or within the gender binary,β according to the school.
A suggested alternative to the word βpicnicβ is βoutdoor eatingβ because picnic has been βassociated with lynchings of Black people.β
βSpirit animalβ is also now frowned upon and βfavorite animalβ should be used in its place because βin some cultural and spiritual traditions, spirit animals refer to an animal spirit that helps guide and/or protect a person through a journey.β
The list was released as part of PARCβs Response to Anti-Blackness.
