A list of puns related to "List of Star Trek characters (AβF)"
In the episode Worf is accused of firing on a transport ship, killing 400 Klingon civilians. You know we all love a trial episode. The episode raises interesting questions about Worfs state of mind, the accidental death of civilians in combat, and how Klingons and the Federation wage war. In the third act, it is revealed that the transport was a ruse and never had civilians on board anyway, so Worf is let go. Aside from a great dressing down by Sisko, Worf walks away scott free, without even the guilt of the civilian deaths. Maybe my least favorite thing in Star Trek is when an episode asks hard questions but chickens out on the third act, or adds a twist that renders the initial questions moot. TNG was terrible for this. It's really frustrating.
PREFACE AND FURTHER EXPLANATION: I've watched the first season and parts of the second season of Discovery, as well as all 10 episodes of Picard. I have a habit of giving things a fair chance before passing final judgment. While I do not like anything "Star Trek" made 2009 or after, and could write essays on all the problems I see with STD and STP, this is for me to go on record about anything I liked while watching either of these series. I constantly ask nutrek fans just why they like the new series so much, and they NEVER answer that question. They only respond with ad hominem attacks on my character. But since they accuse me of being close-minded, I wanted to flex some intellectual honesty and admit to some things I like, mostly about STP. Spoilers ahead.
- I liked the Starfleet Communicators in STP, how they reflected the look seen in TNG's "All Good Things" and VOY's "Timeless" and "Endgame."
- I liked that Picard had kept some mementos in storage, including some of Data's paintings.
- I liked that Picard kept his old communicator and it looked the same, and made the same noise.
-I liked seeing the hologram of the Enterprise D, and appreciated that it had not been altered (unlike the original Enterprise hologram, grrrrrrrrrr "same but 25% different" my ass)
-I liked that Picard was back in France on the family vineyard in his later years. With his brother's and nephew's death in 2371, he probably felt some responsibility to carry on the family legacy, being the last Picard.
- I liked the scene where Picard put the ignorant interviewer in her place. Also liked the comparison of the Romulan evacuation to Dunkirk. Picard is a renaissance man, a man of history, so this comparison makes sense.
- I liked the clarification that it was the Romulan sun that went nova, not just some random star that "threatened the galaxy" referred to in the 2009 movie. This made it more of a crisis, and more real to me, and created a situation that was more fascinating. If only more of that story could have been told and developed.
- I liked that the above situation was the catalyst for Jean-Luc Picard to accept a promotion to Admiral (something James Kirk told him never to do because while sitting in the Captain's chair, he could "make a difference"). Picard probably felt he could make a difference by showing the Romulans the faith and goodness of the Federation. Given his skills as a diplomat and his eagerness for peace, it seems logical enou

The biggest complains from Team Never Satisfied was that "lack" of LGBTQ+ characters: https://www.reddit.com/r/kotakuinaction2/comments/flc72k/star_trek_picard_showrunner_michael_chabon/
The showrunner swore you'd get your required dose of gay:
>βOur charactersβ sexuality, or rather our understanding of them, emerged and evolved over the course of the season, as our actors moved into and began to inhabit their roles.β
>He added, βIt was an organic process and references to sexual identity and history arise in a less explicit way.β
We also learned that despite introducing several new characters they would be turning existing character [SPOILER] 7 of 9 gay. This is a character we saw for 4 seasons of Voyager who had numerous relationships but they were all with men.
So how "organic" was this? Less than the synthetic lifeforms the series has been about. She was seen in the final shot holding hands of a new female character (black of course because the woke engines need more powah, Scotty!) that she barely, if any, had any interaction with (I literally can't recall a single conversation they had). They didn't seem to even know each other, let alone like each other let alone go muff diving together.
It was just your typical "Memba this character? They gay now!" nonsense. They introduced several new characters they could have simply made 2 of them gay, in fact Picard & Seven are the only pre-existing characters that look to be series regulars.
Even worse than making Kelvin universe Sulu gay.
I've finished TNG, Voyager, and original series with one of my friends. We've noticed that almost every character has a conflict with their father, to the point we make jokes about what it will be when we meet a new character. Even the Doctor, in Voyager, as a hologram, has father issues.
Part of this, I think is due less strict family structures. Its shown as difficult to maintain relationships in Star fleet, and there are a lot of single parents. However, even in depictions of parents, Beverly has much more success as a single mother than Warf as a father, granted Warf's situation was quite different.
I was just wondering what other people had to say on the subject, bc I don't know many other trekies irl. Apologies if this has been posted before, I'm relatively new to reddit.
It's interesting to me that even in an ideal future, where many of the huge problems of society have been solved, people still haven't figured out how to be good parents.

No details or production staff have been added yet.
It's highly unlikely to be fake, the DGC is a professional organization and show/movies just can't be added by anyone.
This isn't an old page for the 2001-2005 series Star Trek Enterprise, which was filmed in California anyway. The number "54665" is fairly recent, you can change the last digit manually and get other productions for instance "54667" is for Chapelwaite, "54670" is Peal in the mist, "54673' is Raised by Wolves and "54651" is Superman & Lois. Google searching for those shows news for Chapelwaite within the last four days whilst Raised by Wolves news is from a day ago. Peal in the mist is slightly older but the IMDB page for it was updated on the 24th of February. Superman & Lois first script has been seen by the actors within the last day, though the announcement for it was back in October.
That would suggest that the page itself was added within the last couple of months. It is odd that it doesn't use a code name, Discovery is Green Harvest whilst Section 31 is Wind Cleaver.
As to what it is you guess is as good as mine, though a preponderance of evidence would suggest a Pike 1701 series, though some sort of continuation of Star Trek Enterprise can't be ruled out.
The down side is that what ever it is is unlikely to hit a screen for awhile.
I originally posted this over on /r/startrek but decided to post it again here with some added pre-amble. Scroll down if you just want to see the list. I compiled this list last year but I don't know how comprehensive it is so please tell me if anything is missing. I didn't find any references in Fallout 1 and I don't think there are any. I didn't do any research into Tactics, BoS, Van Buren, or any other Fallout related material. Also, it is possible there are more references in Fallout 76 but as I haven't played it very much I wouldn't know. Otherwise, I think this list is pretty complete for the mainline games. I've also written this list with the assumption that the reader knows enough about Star Trek to understand what the reference being made is.
Warning: This is a satirical list of guidelines for aspiring DSC writers. This list pokes fun at some of the conventions which I've noticed in the writing of the episodes of Season 1 and 2. Feel free to add more in the comments:)
The plot must revolve around Burnham. If she is not the center of attention, she still has to do something significant which impacts the entire narrative (solve a problem, start a war with the Klingons, end a war with the Klingons, use a time travel suit to save the universe from Control, etc.)
The plot must thematize an emotional conflict for Burnham, preferably caused by her relationship to family members (Sarek, Amanda, Spock), friends (Georgiou, Saru) or love interests (Tyler). Scenes that include crying / weeping / sobbing are recommended.
Tilly has to annoy everyone by talking without pause, especially in awkward moments.
Georgiou must appear to help out Michael.
If an enemy species is needed in the episode, stick to Klingons.
Don't care too much about the canon in how you depict technologies. Advanced technologies (holotechnology, faster-than-warp spore drive, etc.) can be used, irrespective of how other Star Trek series present them as something new in the 24th century.
I mean, we know Kirk plays a human College of Blades Bard with a mountain of Charisma. But Picard? Sisko (probably a Paladin)? Archer? Janeway?
Keep in mind, the question isn't what character are they like, but what character would they play as?
It's also worth considering the other crew members. I also wonder who would be DM for this game... Q is the obvious answer, but then it wouldn't be a tabletop game, now would it? No, I think we're looking at this being a Data project.
They can be from any series too, so TOS, TNG, VOY, etc.
I just canβt. Heβs a try hard, his character doesnβt seem genuine, and I believe they casted the wrong actor for the part. He comes off as trying to appear fierce but it feels shallow and weak even after his bear incident.
He doesnβt provide the sense of danger that Ivar does and isnβt as intriguing or unpredictable as Ragnar. Iβm still in season five so maybe this changes but so far heβs my least favorite of the lothbroks. Am I missing something, is there something Iβm not seeing that adds depth to Bjorn?
I'm watching DS9, and Gul Dukat shows up every couple of episodes. I'd watch a show starring Gul Dukat that took place at the same time to see what he was up to in between DS9 appearances.
His personality is just various racial stereotypes and groan-inducing one liners.
I know Neelix is the most popular character to hate because he's dumb, but at least he was fun (arguably) and added a little levity to the show. Ppl also hate on Deanna Troi which I don't understand. Deanna Troi is a cool and fully-developed character.
Anyways, who do you think is the worst character in the Star Trek Franchise?
He appears on Star Trek 51 times across 3 series:

I was frustrated by the lists Iβve found online as I feel too many important episodes were missed! Here is my list. Hope itβs useful. Will take extra time to get them all done, but well worth it if you haven't watched all of TNG before and want to catch up properly!
Tried to keep spoilers to a minimum!
General Picard info:
Encounter at Farpoint. We learn about Picard as he takes command of the Enterprise, how he handles his crew and a delicate problem, not so much about Q, but about the Farpoint station and his delicate approach to diplomacy and a new lifeform.
Lonely Among Us. Picard's passion for exploration.
The Battle. Not the best episode but gives us background into Picards past thatβs important.
Hide & Q. Has some of the best arguments between Picard and Q. Really reveals his philosophy.
The Big Goodbye. Picard and Data episode.
Weβll Always Have Paris. Picardβs past and his decision to leave and commit to the Starfleet life, and not a family.
Conspiracy. One of season 1βs best episodes, takes Picard back to earth to show him interacting with headquarters. Watch βComing of Ageβ for a leadup to these events.
Where Silence Has Lease. How Picard handles an impossible to win situation.
Time Squared. A character exploration as Picard faces himself, out of time.
Pen Pals. Info about Picard and Data.
Samaritan Snare. A lot of very important information about Picardβs past and the reason for his artificial heart. The A story is less important.
Captainβs Holiday. He meets Vash and has a rβship with her on an adventure.
Sarek. Picardβs connection with Spockβs father, and setting up his future connection with Spock.
Family. Picard goes home, and deals with his past after his abduction from the Borg. Don't watch this until you've watched Best of Both Worlds (in the Borg list below).
Final Mission. Learn more of Picardβs feelings toward Wesley. As much as Wesley is an unpopular character, his relationship with Picard is important to understand the man, especially as it relates to Beverly and his decision to not have a family of his own.
Qpid. Follows on from Captains Holiday and shows how private he is.
The Drumhead. Picard roots out paranoia in Starfleet.
Darmok. Watch how Picard finds common ground with an alien captain who is difficult to understand, even with the universal translator.
Violations. Shows more of Picardβs past with Beverly. Main story is less relevant.
The First Duty. More of Picardβs connection to Wesley and the imp

He has absolutely no idea what to do because he put every single vaguely interesting idea he had into the first script. So he goes back to the original six movies, finds the most popular villain, and brings him back, saying that the other villain the heroes were fighting was actually the old villain in disguise.
It takes about half the film to actually get to the big reveal of who the bad guy really is, but when it happens all of the new characters act super shocked and confused, despite the fact that to the new characters the old villain is just someone they vaguely remember from history class. As soon as the reveal happens, though, the plot immediately shifts to be a beat-for-beat retread of the film where the bad guy was killed the first time, however also adding a bit where they get a message from the old character responsible for beating him the first time (but at an immense cost) where he gives them a warning and a word of encouragement. The new final battle then ends up "mirroring" the original final battle, but then a different character sacrifices themselves at the end in a similar way to how things happened the first time. This is supposed to be "tragic and unexpected" despite the fact that it's literally the same movie we saw before but with character names switched around. But it's okay, because it ends with the main character saying something inspiring from the original franchise the film is based on, and then staring off toward further adventure in a shot that's also stolen from the original franchise.
I have just described both the plot of Star Trek: Into Darkness as well as all of the pseudo-confirmed leaks so far for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker but with all of the character names removed.
They are the same movie.

Last year I compiled a list of Star Trek references which are in the Fallout games. I don't know how comprehensive this list is so please tell me if there is anything missing.
