This means the polling excludes everyone who hasn't voted recently. That is a very significant portion of Andrew Yang's support (such as myself, I am 42 and never even registered to vote before).
That means that the poll result is invalid. This should absolutely be brought up with the DNC and the media. Regardless of whether we think they are actually going to change the rules. Its not something that we should just let go.
Voter turnout for presidential elections was most recently 55.7%. So like always, turnout is key as long as people realize that and stick to their guns.

817 persons were successfully nominated as candidates on nomination day (22 October 2019).
7 candidates withdrew their candidature within the legal limit of 3 days from the nomination day.
The 20 prospective candidates of Rezistans ek Alternativ and the 4 prospective independent candidates, whose nomination papers have been held to be invalid due to failure to declare their respective communities, have lost their appeal to the Supreme Court today. They will, thus, not be candidates in the forthcoming National Assembly elections.
With 810 candidates in these elections, the record of 724 candidates set by the 2014 general elections has been broken.
561 (69 %) of the candidates belong to parties/party alliances while the 249 ((31 %) others are independent candidates.
The parties/party alliances with 60 candidates are unsurprisingly the Alliance Morisien, Alliance Nationale and the Mouvement Militant Mauricien (MMM), but also the Front Solidarité Mauricien (FSM). Also having large numbers of candidates are the Parti Kreol Morisien (PKM) (47), 100% Citoyens (42) and the Reform Party (41).
At 148 (18 %), the number of female candidates is dismally low compared to the 662 (82 %) male ones.
