I've a Brit friend who's a good lad, if a bit uneducated on the Troubles. Up until I mentioned the official financing of loyalist paramilitary groups, shooting of unarmed protesters etc, he had no idea the government themselves committed any crimes and thought it was just the Ra setting off a few car bombs.
