Comics, books, movies, etc.

Just thought it would be neat to collect a list containing any media that involves a rat for any length of time. Especially those goofy movies showing a cave with a bunch of cute obviously pet rats just sorta chilling and taking baths while the people freak out.

Season 2 of House the medical drama TV show involves brief glimpses of a rat the protagonist named Steve McQueen. He even treated the rat for mycro. Though he kept him alone, the cage was too small and he kept him on the kitchen counter which seems like a generally bad idea.

I imagine that the SD may become my new iPad of sorts since I’ll have it on me all the time. While it’s obviously optimized for gaming, I’m going to try to squeeze as much out of it that I can. Would love to see if others have a list of to-download useful apps.

The biggest things I’m curious about are if anyone knows about Linux SMS clients similar to the Mac OS messenger app (hoping to sync w iPhone), and if there are useful Linux apps for social media and streaming services, or if those things are better done through the browser. (I know the screen isn’t optimal for watching stuff but I don’t really mind.)

So, lately I've been wanting to build things in Stud.io and share my creative process with others, but my circle of friends is currently quite small and none of them are really invested in what I do, so I'm going to try and reach out to see if I can find other people who share an interest and passion for M.O.C designing. People who are popular because of the characters they play in fictional stories are wholly unqualified to speak about anything. And in the rare event they are qualified, someone else is likely more qualified and would be a better source.

I'm not saying it would eliminate the problem of mannequin-like celebrities pretending they have brains, but it seems like it'd just be good journalism to acknowledge when this is happening:

"And now we're going to go to John Celebrity, who earned a GED from studio tutors on the set of the sitcom he appeared on as a kid. He's going to tell us all how to think about [insert important issue]."

The title on top is pretty self explanatory, but when it comes to the original Bionicle universe from 2001 to 2010, are all of the media ("medias"? "medium"?) that I've listed from the title and more, all canon together? If not, please provide evidence as to why they're not, no bias.

And also, other then the blink-and-you'll-miss milo second cameo in The LEGO Movie (which I'm sure is probably just a nod to Bionicle fans, 'cause why not, it is The LEGO Movie after all), has Bionicle ever canonically crossed over with another LEGO franchise or otherwise? If not, has there been, at least, any Easter eggs or references to the franchise itself? (Again, other then The LEGO Movie, of course)

GameStop’s Latest Gimmick Won’t Lift GME Stock

The shares are poised to tumble when meme stock investors grow tired of waiting for them to rally.

GameStop stock is pulling back after its recent surge. But by-and-large, not much has changed for it. As with Popcorn stocks, a core base of retail traders (“Apes,” as they sometimes call themselves) continue to hold onto their GME stock.

To keep these investors happy and to remain in the headlines, GameStop has a plan. Besides moving along with its digitalization efforts, the retailer is chasing opportunities in the fast-growing area of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) and other blockchain-related ventures.

However, don’t expect this move into to be something that, over the long-term, will help GameStop sustain its current market capitalization of $15.9 billion.

Instead, the shares are still likely to tumble in the future. At some point in time, the self-described “Apes” will take profits. That may happen when the stock market next undergoes a harsh correction. Or it could occur gradually, as more investors realize that the company will not grow into its presently inflated valuation for years, if it ever does.

In short, with no change to the story, investors should cash out of the shares before the retail traders finally do. If you don’t have a position in the name, avoid it.

Don’t Get Too Excited About GameStop’s Emerging NFT Catalyst

Late last month, buzz around the company’s move into NFTs and other Web 3.0 (blockchain) ventures began to build up. As more investors became aware of the company’s plans to build an NFT marketplace, investors bid up its shares for a couple of weeks.

More information is still coming out about the company’s NFT venture. For example, there are rumors that it will be powered by Loopring's blockchain. New, confirmed developments may help spark a few more pops by the seemingly unsinkable meme stock.

But it may be a stretch to say that GameStop’s blockchain-related endeavors will prevent the stock from experiencing what I’ve called its “inevitable capitulation.”

There are two reasons for that. First, while overall NFT sales in the last fiscal quarter alone came in at a staggering $10.7 billion, only time will tell if its popularity will remain so elevated. While the skeptics have been proven wrong about cryptocurrencies, the jury is still out about whether NFTs are a fad or here to stay.

There’s a Saturn on the front page of Dropbox.com. I noticed a Saturn on the front of a campbells chicken and stars soup can. It seems like they are everywhere. Logos seem to be an obvious place to catch the Saturn symbolism, but I’m curious to know if there’s a list that has all/many of the products that use Saturn even not on logos.
