A list of puns related to "List of A Different World episodes"
Hi there! I'm a 2nd year undergraduate. I'm studying Oceanography in a fairly new university in Bangladesh. I've decided that I want to try and get a Masters degree from a university in a developed country or a developing country, if the varsity is that good. So, what's the best way to look for Masters programs? I really like the subject and its different aspects. And I haven't decided yet what I want to do a Masters on, though so far, I'm interested in some courses a bit more than others. I figure I should finish the bachelor's program before deciding on this. But I also feel like I need to prepare myself from now on. Now, I assume that different programs of different Oceanographic/Marine Science Universities and Institutions have different requirements. But I think some of the requirements should overlap.
So to summarize, what are some good ways of looking up Masters programs of some good universities from different developed countries, be it in Asia, Europe or North America? If it helps knowing, I'd like to pursue a career in research in the future.
Thank you for your help!
I think that watching horror movies from different countries is a great way to learn a bit about the cultural values of a particular place, and beyond that, I just love to hear different languages and see what other places look like on-screen, and I thought that r/horror might feel the same, so I compiled these Top 10 lists from different countries and regions around the world. There are a handful of very obscure movies that I feel deserve more attention included in these lists, so I'd say your chances of discovering a new favorite or two are pretty good.
You'll notice that the one region I haven't covered is sub-Saharan Africa, and that's only because I've had a heck of a time finding movies from there apart from a couple Nigerian and South African flicks that weren't all that good, so if you have any recommendations for African horror (or horror from anywhere, for that matter), I'd love to hear them!
Keep in mind that these are just my personal favorites, not necessarily the best movies from these regions, and also that I use a pretty broad definition of what constitutes horror, so if you don't, let's not get into any "horror vs. thriller"-type arguments, cuz those are boring.
Edit: I forgot to mention that these lists are only movies from 2000 and later. Maybe I'll do some other lists of pre-2000 horror someday.
Edit 2: Thanks for the silver 'n' gold everyone!
Respond with your international favorites, and let's get a good discussion going!

... keep reading on reddit β‘After seeing many posts on this sub about what to show people you know like parents and partners from the show to get them into it, I thought it would be sweet if we worked together in the comments to make a list for different personalities and tastes.
Some targets we should cover- Comedy Romance Young children (6 years old or so)- I think the first 2 episodes are very good for this age to become interested Older children (9 and up) Teenagers Sadness/heavy emotions (The southern air temple? The desert? Appas lost days?) Failure and redemption (boiling rock?) MUSIC (I genuinely donβt know what episode has the best sounds) Action/fight scenes
And many more things we can cover- when we have made progress Iβll make a new post with suggestions for what different types of people should watch to enjoy the show more
Like Bad Jubies.
I'm sure I saw it on here before and iirc it had episodes listed in the style of "for when you want to laugh", "for when you want to cry" etc.? Thanks!
Rather than just looking up "Episodes with Shawn" or "Episodes with Eric" it would be a whole lot easier to get a complete list of episodes who featured guest appearances by Boy Meets World cast members.
MAPPA has done an amazing job adapting this season. The backgrounds in this episode, in particular, were absolutely gorgeous, and the VAs for Kaya and Gabi had a fantastic performance as well in this episode. Though, there is something small that I really wish hadnβt been changed earlier in this season, which were two seemingly insignificant scenes that really emphasized the differences between Falco and Gabiβs families.
For example, when the Eldian soldiers are returning home from war, we see a small scene that contrasts how Falco and Colt are greeted by their family, with how Gabi is greeted by her family. The Grice family are only concerned about their childrenβs safety, while the Braun family only seems to show interest in Gabi's accomplishments, even after she tells them how dangerous it was.
Later on in the arc, there is a quick scene where Colt is saying that he doesnβt want Falco to become a Titan, similar to how Falco doesnβt want Gabi to inherit a Titan and shorten her lifespan. While on the other hand, Reinerβs mentality was very similar to Gabiβs when he was her age. This was important in further establishing how different the Grices and Brauns view the duties of a Warrior.
Gabi and Reinerβs family raised them to believe it was their duty to become Warriors and punish the βisland devilβ so that they could bring honor to the Eldian people on the mainland and prove to the world that they arenβt devils themselves. However, Falco and Colt only joined the military to save their family because their uncle was an Eldian Restorationist and that led to them all being persecuted.
Without the anime presenting how Falco and Gabi are products of their home life, I feel it makes it a lot harder to understand how these two charactersβ perspectives are so drastically different despite both growing up in Marley. Afterall, the reason why Reiner told Falco to save Gabi was because he saw his younger self in her, and he knew that if she inherited the Armor, she would end up just like him.
I'll try to present each of the most popular ideas that I've heard so far concerning how players can be ranked, so that we can use a matchmaking system. Please let me know what tweaks or ideas you have!
Ranking Players by Degree:
Pros:
Easy to implement this feature, as almost all players have a degree based on their win.
Can be fairly accurate concerning skill level. Around 60% of the time (in my experience), a player's degree is related to their skill level.
Cons:
Can be taken advantage of: Players can disable their stats, reducing the accuracy of their degree based on their skill.
Can be inaccurate: There are many instances of players who's skill level does not correspond to their degree.
Ranking Players by Rolling 300 Winrate:
Pros:
Winrate is a much more accurate indicator of skill level than degree.
Also easy to implement, as most players have a recorded winrate of their last 300 games.
Cons:
Like before, very easy to bypass. Players can simply turn off their stats, and keep whatever rolling 300 winrate they had previously.
Ranking Players by ELO (or other methods):
Pros:
Can be many times more accurate than previous ideas, as the ELO system [seems promising.] (https://trueskill.org/) /u/boraca made a comment ranking many EU players using a similar algorithm.
Cannot be taken advantage of as easily as the other ideas (as far as I know of).
Cons:
Will take time to implement, as there are no ELO rankings currently.
Rankings will be inaccurate at first, as everyone will start out with the same skill level.
Pros:
Accurate matchmaking.
Somewhat easy to implement/start due to the small amount of games needed.
Smurf-proof and one cannot take advantage of the system.
Cons:
May be difficult or too complicating to manage two sets of rolling winrates, or to store that type of data on the servers.
May be finnicky with very new players who do not have 50 games yet.
Please leave any feedback or ideas and I will add them to the list if I can!
I know that TagPro is still a small community and struggling to grow, but it's important to remain hopeful
... keep reading on reddit β‘I'm recently getting back into Doctor Who after feeling a bit indifferent to it for the past few years. I went back to the first episodes I can remember watching: the series 3 finale with the Master (partially inspired by this series' finale!). I realised that on UK Netflix they're the cut-down BBC America versions (with at least two scenes missing). Are most episodes affected by this? Is there a list anywhere of these differences? If not, how hard would it be to compile one?
I think of fire and boats at the most basic levels, but the bow and arrow is a fairly complex device to have emerged in completely different places.
I guess I'm curious about what the most complex inventions were that sprang up independently of one another.
Or, is there a list or a book that focuses on this subject?

Someone needs to ask Cree Summer if she remembers Shazaam starring Sinbad...
Kumingaβs neighborhood offered a haven of sorts. Though he witnessed extreme poverty and hunger at a young age, he said he never saw anyone get killed. His most visceral memories of the conflict are from November 2012, when M23, a rebel group believed to be backed by neighboring Rwanda, marched into Goma as United Nations peacemakers watched. A 10-year-old Kuminga followed the news as the rebels exchanged fire with the Congolese army at the cityβs central roundabout during their two-week incursion.
βAt some point, the rebels came where I was,β said Kuminga, who lived in the same area where then-Congolese president Joseph Kabila had a house. βWe didnβt run away, though. We stayed where we were.β
Kumingaβs goal already was clear: a basketball scholarship in the U.S. and a path toward the NBA. His dad had been a power forward, one of the Congoβs best players. As a young man, Didier earned an opportunity to play college basketball in the U.S., but stayed home to marry his high school sweetheart, Brigitte. The couple found government jobs and raised four sons. The two oldest β Joel and Jonathan β blossomed into dominant players on the Congoβs travel circuit. When Jonathan was 12, his dad brought him to a dilapidated concrete court in Goma and told him to show off his best moves.
For 30 minutes, the gangly 6-4 preteen dribbled between his legs, took jump shots and threw down dunks while Didier recorded him on his phone. A professional cameraman helped them edit it into a highlight reel that was sent to prep schools throughout the U.S.
Mountain Mission School, a boarding school in rural southwestern Virginia, offered Kuminga a full-ride scholarship. In summer 2016, just six months after Joel flew to Florida to pursue his own NBA dream, Jonathan rode four hours with his parents to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda.
Carrying a single suitcase, Jonathan hugged Didier and Brigitte for the last time in what he knew could be years. He didnβt shed a tear.
This was his destiny, Jonathan told himself. Everything would work out. There was no other choice.
βItβs doesnβt shock me that heβs in the position that heβs in right now,β said Emmanuel Mudiay, Kumingaβs cousin and a 2015 NBA draft pick from the Congo. βComing from the situation that we came from, you have the ultimate motivation: giving your family a better life. Nothingβs bigger than that.β As the teamβs Escalade pulled in front of Aria Resort and Casino, Kuminga checked his pockets and groaned.

... keep reading on reddit β‘Is there any compiled list of how the different seasons affect the different worlds? Iβm only in winter in my windenberg save but I can tell this world gets really heavy winters ( blizzards almost every other day) and I would like to hear what I should expect in other seasons.
Have you been?
Are there any deals or ways to travel or stay there more cheaply or interestingly than the status quo ways?
Are there places to find good deals or upgrade anything?
Is there anywhere that offers random free things or extra cool access or anything like that?
Wanting to take my mom this winter, and just trying to get the most of the experience and/or trying to find any deals on anything! THANKS!!
So the first game starts off with a high pitched voice and pronouncing meat as "may-aaht". I don't know what the video is I think that might be a cattle rancher. I've spent a couple of times and I can't find this movie ? Thank you ! https://imgur.com/gallery/1Mox5.
Just like you read it, folks! The details of this game's DLC Episode are finally here...on its official page, sadly -x- Because that means they're as image-format so I can't even use Google Translate to give a rough approximation of the details, sadly. However, I can use simple human deduction to tell you what seems most obvious of it!
First of all, if you want to have a clear look yourselves, head to the following link:
http://awvssao.bn-ent.net/dlc/index.html
And then scroll down until you find the part corresponding to the DLC Episode (It's easy, just the first ones showing Eugeo and Alice, and Oberon bastard at the side) and click on one of the 2 rectangles joined with a '+' symbol to get a look at the details :3
The first one shows us the 'main course' of the DLC: Alice, Eugeo, and Oberon, with their in-game images and a small image of they showing off their abilities in-game (Alice Releasing Olive Fragrant = Hype. Eugeo using the RED Rose Sword = FUCKING HYPE. Obe...nah, nothing more to say :3). We also apparently are shown that their (As of yet) mysterious apparition in the AW-infected ALO will be divided into 3 main 'chapters', one for each one: 'Cavalier' for Alice, 'Childhood' for Eugeo, and 'Significant' for Oberon (Kinda funny: The first two fit their characters like a glove...but you're not significant at all, Sugou XP).
After that, on the second info-rectangle, we get to see the extra PvP and in-game content the DLC Episode will bring: Some epic fights, a couple of badass-looking Super Bosses and an entire set of what I assume are legendary weapons for the entire SAO Cast. They look quite cool, not too fancy and not too bland, just the right balance of epicness :3 Let us hope some kind soul who knows Japanese can translate the exact details as it has happened with the ones of Maiden of the Abyss for HR XP
Still no date for the DLC Episode release, but I once again remind everyone that it's included if you buy the game's Season Pass, together with the Swimsuits DLC, and (When they're released), Heathcliff, Persona Babel and Best AW Character Graphite Edge as Playable Characters. The game will be getting here to the West in 1 month, on July 7th :)
Well, that's all for now, everyone! This has been Saint as always, informing you of the latest Gameverse news...oh, and of course, tagging my good friend /u/kaantantr because he always wants to know of these things :3
I find import/export data doesn't really tell me the strength of a country in terms of its ability to fund social services. Those numbers seem to reflect the strength of trade by companies or individuals .. but not the state itself.
I am after a statistic which details the net revenue for a country's government. For each country around the world.
I would imagine it would be made up of tax revenues from individuals and corporations, as well as from sovereign investments and dividends .. less interest payments from loans.
It would be useful to also know the outstanding treasuries if possible.
