One comment stuck in my mom's mind for many years, an AA woman said while waiting in line while shopping, "I hate (c slurs), they have all the money." She's mentioned it a few times, so she's always been on edge about it.
I keep finding used needles in the Chown parking garage. Who is responsible for cleaning that up? Also addicts are people going through a lot of shit so don't turn this into a fuck the user please.

Never thought I’d experience something like this, but here I am. I currently work from home and had a break in between clients. I decided to do laundry so I wouldn’t have to worry about it later this week.
To preface, my apartment is set up where the second floor is the main floor (mailboxes, lobby, office) and the first floor is the basement and where the laundry room is. All parking is outside and floors range from 1-6.
When it was time to move my laundry to the dryer, I picked up my keys and some dryer sheets and went to the elevator to go to the first floor. I would’ve normally taken the stairwell since I’m on the second floor but I also wanted to check my mail since I hadn’t checked it yesterday. I hit 1 in the elevator and almost stepped out when the doors opened up. But it didn’t open to the first floor hallway- it opened to a parking garage. I’m confused because I know the 1st floor is all apartments, laundry, and gym. I’ve lived here for over 2 years. I wish at that moment I could say that I stepped out and explored. I started to feel so freaked out because I know this apartment like the back of my hand and I know we don’t have a parking garage nor a floor beneath the first floor that I could’ve accidentally gone to. I pressed 1 again and the doors closed but the elevator didn’t move and the doors stayed closed for a few seconds. Then they reopened- I was on the first floor where I was supposed to me.
Part of me wished I had took my phone with me but honestly, I think I was so freaked out and confused in that moment that if I had, I would’ve been so focused on getting out. And I know it’s silly to be freaked out over a parking garage but it felt so eerie because I know that we don’t have one nor do we have plans to have one- our apt manager would’ve shared it with us.

Second/Last update: I just came back from the apt office. The only parking there is is the parking lot surrounding the office and street parking. There never has been a parking garage. The only thing that goes beyond the 1st floor is the boiler room on the first floor that has a set of stairs going down but it’s just one room. And yeah, that conversation was real damn awkward to have.
