A list of puns related to "Levitating (song)"
I found this song on a youtube video about 12 years ago but sadly the account no longer exist, I've always loved this song but cannot for the life of me, remember what is it called.
Song is fairly light (not rock/metal)
Many thanks
Well, I have reason to believe Levitating by Dua Lipa will be Billboard year-end number 1 song of 2021.
Simply put, it's the longest running song of the year. It hs been in the top 10 since January. Yes, it had an interruption from the top 10 in March, but since then its chart position has steadily been rising. And since its peak in May, it has not really left the top 4.
I know it has never hit number-one, but that doesn't change the fact that it has had a longer chart run songs like Driver'S License, which have peaked at number one.
The fact that it might be number one on the year-end chart would make that so remarkable, becuse that'S not something that has happened since 2001. And the fact that it has happened three time in Billboard'S history shows it'S definitely possible.
I must add that I really think it depends on how Butter does. It it has a 10+ run at number one and also stays in the top 10 for 27+ weeks, I think I would put my money on Butter instead.
I really like funky/retro/groovy sounding songs. I don't care the language or the year the song was released in, as long as it hits. Also since I'm into kpop, there's a good chance that I've heard a lot of popular groups/songs that have come out with anything in this particular sound.
A genre that I really like is citypop, but recommendations don't have to be this.
I'm also really bad with genres, but if you can think of a specific genre too you can just drop those too and I'll find playlists of them too.
The lyrics are totally something I can imagine Seiya singing to Usagi haha and the pop tune is definitely in the Three Light's genre XD
I am sorry if my taste in music sucks
Dua Lipa's 'Levitating' sounds extremely similar to a moderately recent pop song at the TOMT.
Here is my best attempt at playing it: https://vocaroo.com/1gy3dSZlH8Cx
I can't remember the lyrics, except it's a woman singing something like "... looking at you" and then ", ... that barbeque" then moving to the high part that goes something like "I can't, I can't, I can't..."
The first part above sounds like Levitating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMOqfBLWxH8&t=33s where it goes "I got you, moonlight, you're my starlight", except the melody's progression shifts down and rhymes "you" with "too" (possibly "barbeque").
The second part with "I can't" sounds awfully like Bruno Mar's 24K Magic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqyT8IEBkvY&t=32s. I'm unclear if I'm just mixing up the two songs.
The actual song, as in its harmony, melody, and rhythm is pretty standard and nothing special
Whoever was working on the beat and those retro backing vocals though, dude, I salute you.
nothing to do with carti i just thought i should share and wanted y'all's thoughts on this
Hello,
I've just realized the chord progressions of Levitating (correct me if I'm wrong), but it goes along something like this:
Em - F#m - Bm
and then back to Em. I don't know if they are minor 7ths or minor 9ths, but I believe that these are the chords in the chord progression.
If they are all minor chords, how come the general mood of the song is uplifting? Is it because of the tempo or the drums?
Thanks.
I feel like the whole vibe and lyrics of the song go together with Feysand and their first Starfall perfectly
