A list of puns related to "Legrand Legacy"
Hey guys! I have run into a possible softlock in Legrand Legacy and hope someone out there can help me. Let me go over what happens:
On the Ostia part, in the first "War Battle" skirmish thingy, you have to follow the tutorial on which actions you can take. Here's how it goes for me:
- Finn always acts first, moves a square and then hits the enemy.
- Aria is second, and is forced to attack the same enemy before moving to Finn's position.
- Kael is supposed to go third, moving to the side of that same enemy unit and striking it with a surprise attack.
Here comes my issue: Aria ALWAYS critical hits the unit, killing it. That means that, when Kael's turn comes up, he moves and HAS to attack, but there's nobody to attack as Aria has already killed the unit. This means that I'm stuck in Kael's turn forever, as he has no valid target to attack and the game doesn't allow me to take any other actions, including ending his turn.
I know the game is a bit old but I got it on sale for the Switch and wanted to know if anyone experienced this and if there are any workarounds. Resetting the game doesn't seem to work, and I've found no other options. Any clues?
Thanks in advance and hope everyone has a great 2022!
Has anyone else played this all the way through? I got it on switch and Iβve made it to Ostias and Iβm actually really enjoying this game. It doesnβt do anything outstanding, but the story is pretty good and the character customization is nice too. Itβs a nice throwback to classic JRPGs.
I have this key for a while now and I don't remember if I already give it and since I don't have the game on Steam I can't test the key, so if someone want to try just post somethings in the comments, good luck ! ;)

I was checking out the Switch eShop, and I saw this game was on sale dirt cheap (under $3 CAD). How is this game?
As with many people I bought this game for the Switch when it was 1.99 USD on the EShop but didn't play it until this month. Legrand Legacy: Tale of the Fatebounds (LL) is a Kickstater game meant as a love letter to late PS1 early PS2 JRPGs like Legend of the Dragoon and Shadow Hearts and for better or for worse it shows, as in the end it felt like a mixed bag.
Despite what the critics say, I enjoy classic turn-based JRPGs and this game is easily a 7.5/10. Nice story, developed characters, good pacing, solid combat, and overall quite enjoyable. I paid $120 for my Kickstarter backer physical collector's edition of the game. Now JRPG fans can get the game for literally $2 on Steam. It's totally worth it. You literally have nothing to lose. Support the devs so they can make an even better game in the future. Legrand Legacy was a solid first attempt that every classic JRPG fan should give a shot, especially since it's only $2 right now.

Edit: Sale is only on Steam now. It was on sale for Switch, but not anymore. Sorry.
Can someone help me with the game Legrand legacy? (I'm still in the beginning). Are all the grimoires based on int and magic? Or there are physical ones? Because I'm not quite sure if it's better to use simple attacks with Finn than grimoires, since he has more str.
I've been playing Legrand Legacy for 20 hours now. As far as classic-style modern JRPGs go you can't get more classic than this. It has all the conventions of a good RPG, along with a very addictive strategic battle system. It was panned during release for being "too generic" and "not evolving the genre". People also complained about typos, which is fair, but I've heard people complain about the writing too. Sure it has its quirks, but I found the writing to be solid because I really grew attached to the characters regardless. It really is a celebration of JRPGs in the best way. The story has a lot of interesting lore too. What I was really impressed with is all the game does to make things more accessible and less frustrating than other JRPGs.
Simple mechanics like being able to swap party members in and out without using a turn made the combat much more varied and strategic. Also, all party members recieve EXP, whether they are used in a battle or not, which makes leveling them up much easier and less annoying. There's also iniated battles, which I prefer over random battles since you can explore and fight at your own pace. And while you're exploring, you can take in the beautiful hand-painted backgrounds. Even the side quests are fairly varied, but more importantly, they have nice rewards, such as a bunch of EXP. So often JRPGs and RPGs in general have throwaway side quests with no payoff so I was very pleased that Legrand Legacy actually makes your effort worthwhile.
The characters also have a lot of development throughout the story and there are plenty of dramatic moments and plot twists throughout the game. Sure the NPCs might have drab and/or lazy dialogue and the writing can be a tad awkward at times, but this is one Kickstarter JRPG I'm really happy I backed. The good far outweighs the bad and this is a JRPG hidden gem in my opinion. Easily a 7.5/10 or higher based on the gameplay and characters alone. And ya the character models look pretty bad, but this game's budget was only $50,000 and it's a big game with 40+ hours of content. I cut it some slack there since it is impressive to me just how much they were able to accomplish with such a small budget.
Also, the music is pretty damn good too. Please everyone give this game a shot. Don't be expecting the evolution of Final Fantasy or the best JRPG ever, you'll be disappointed. But if you want a solid JRPG adventure with a likeable cast of characters, addictive strategic battle system, bea

It definitely has Legend of Dragoon vibes. You can see the inspiration with the ACT mechanic. Wondering if anyone here has an opinion on it Would love to hear!
Picked this up a couple weeks ago and have started to dig into it. Enjoying it so far for the most part. A couple QoL things I wish it had but I like how old-school it feels. It's not fully grabbing me but it seems like a decent enough time killer. What's the general consensus on this one? Is it going to get better or worse or the same? I'm not that far into it, just got >!Kael!< but curious to know how this one was received.
I backed a Kickstarter for this game a while back and I checked it out once it arrived. I thought the difficulty was pretty balanced at first. Challenging, but not unfair and definitely manageable. That is, until I got to the 2nd dungeon, only 5 hours in and I got into a boss fight with a giant kraken thing.
The boss fight started out alright at first. It would attack and deal about 100-200 damage each time. That's a good deal of damage, but it's manageable. Then I realize my attacks aren't doing shit. I get into a cut scene and I switch out my character for another character (story-related). Once I got the new character I thought, "Ok now I'll have what I need to win. He's going to have something to take down the boss"...No...Not even close. My attacks still didn't do much and I thought, "Ok so it's an endurance test. I can handle that". And then the boss, out of nowhere, performs a super move and kills my 2 party members that were at full health. I'm like "WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED". So then I revive one and then use the other to revive the other party member that's down. Then I heal and get back into it. And...three turns or so later and the boss does the same super move and kills my entire party.
For context, I have been doing every battle I come across in this game and I have been grinding a decent amount. The enemies before this boss were a little tough, but manageable and I was doing fine. But this boss is seemingly impossible. I used all of my healing and revive items and I couldn't even get it down to half-health. Maybe the game expects me to grind a lot or maybe I need to go to a blacksmith and get better armor. But damn, a one-hit super move that comes out of nowhere that can kill your entire party. And you can't prepare ahead of time either because the boss doesn't telegraph its attacks. The attack literally comes out of nowhere and cancels all your attacks and kills at least 2 of your party members. You would think the boss could have some visual indicator that it's preparing a super attack so then the player knows to block, but nope.
I couldn't believe how hard this game became from the 2nd boss in the game! Absolutely crazy! I was going to play Shin Megami Tensei IV after this, but now I almost think this game could give that game's difficulty a run for its money, especially since you're at least equipped to handle the challenges you face in SMT IV. There's not even any defense buffs at this point in Legrand Legacy. This game can be
... keep reading on reddit β‘I admit that this game has some nice things going on for it. Namely:
But i couldn't withstand its flaws anymore and jumped out before finishing. Chapter 6, so i was almost there, but i couldn't anymore.
Namely the flaws that i witness were:
All in all a good game, but if you can't withstand the long, really long, dialogues then i wouldn't recommend. I feel like if they got rid of half the dialogues, you would still understand everything that is going on and more, and would have been definitely more enjoyable. And after cutting half of the dialogues they could have maybe also give it Voice Acting, and that maybe would have given even more charm to some characters and the plot in general.
Still, a nice game!
PS. I put "Review" flair, because there's no "Opinion" flair, but i definitely do not consider this a review lol. It's just my 2 cents on what i felt about the game.
