Knight Rider 2000 Puns

Although it isn't a good movie, it does have alot of San Antonio nostalgia. Filming locations include botanical gardens, tower of America's, and rivercenter mall. Filmed in 1991.

I'm watching Knight Rider 2000, and I have to say, while it is no where near as great as the TV show, it was a pretty good movie. I guess the geek in me just enjoys seeing KITT, Michael and Devon together again. I just wish the writer's would have made at last some attempt in adding more of what made the classic Knight Rider so good - the black Trans Am, the original theme, the Semi, Ski mode, and of course...Turbo Boost. The movie didn't lack heart, but it get it needed to be more of a drama instead of a fun, family friendly, popcorn flick. Oh well. Maybe the next remake or reincarnation will go back to basics. 🤔👍

This edit seeks to right the biggest wrong of the flick by restoring Devon to the land of the living for the entirety of the film

While the original Knight Rider television series is fondly remembered by it's fans and 80s tv junkies alike, it's spin-offs have been generally met with disjnterest and outright apathy. Despite it's flaws, The first of the sequel projects, Knight Rider 2000, remains the best out of a pretty checkered bunch.

At the time he movie was controversial in that it killed off Devon Miles, Michael Knight's mentor played by the endearing Edward Mulhare. This edit keeps him alive.

Cuts and Additions:

- Watt's attack on the Mayor and an introduction to Shawn to take center fold now starts the movie

- Devon's death and funeral have been cut

- Michael punching Maddock has been cut

- Michael morning Devon's death is cut. Instead it's edited to look like Maddock is showing off K.I.F.T to Devon near Micheal's country ranch, whilst Micheal and Shawn are hanging around the area, with Michael pissed off about K.I.T.T's condition. The scene ends when Shawn says she needs Michaell and that he has shown superior traits over her.

I discovered KR2000 on Charge!'s schedule for next week on Jan 22. Because KR2000 is not really on streaming at all, the tv movie on streaming on Charge!'s live streaming app STIRR is the closest one.

Ruiner 2000 - Based on K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider.

• Auto Pilot AI: Ruiner 2000 should have an AI installed so will talk to you making comments on your actions which would be cool. Additionally through the interaction menu you can give it commands like drive to a waypoint on the map, call it to come pick you up, shutup, or even follow you as a bodyguard.
• Weapons - no missiles or machine guns for KITT instead it used a powerful laser.
  • Laser Power Pack - Hitscan Laser Beam equivalent in power to a single shot from an Explosive Cannon or Explosive Sniper.
    • Works by locking on to a target in front of the car and once lock-is achieved you fire an instant hit laser instead of a missile. Should have similar range and rate of fire as the old R2K missile launcher, but less damage/blast radius.
    • Fully Loaded laser should deal more damage than regular laser though.
• Armor: KITT's "Molecular Bonded Shell"
  • Completely Bulletproof like the Armored Kuruma.
  • Light Explosive Resistance - Can Survive 1 RPG or 3 Homing Missiles.
  • Fully Loaded Ruiner explosive resistance should be nerfed to 2 RPG or 6 Homing Missiles.
• Performance: Top Speed - 130 MPH; 0 - 60 MPH in 3 seconds.
  • Also Equipped with magnetic disk brakes, air brakes, and a forward firing thruster for extreme braking performance, allowing it to stop instantly.
• Super Pursuit Mode - Toggle Speed Boost Mode, disables weapons for more speed.
  • Turbine engine intakes and exhaust are uncovered gaining a huge horsepower boost, wings are deployed to increase downforce to keep the car on the ground and controllable as the Ruiner 2000 gains dragster like horsepower.
  • Top Speed - 160+ MPH; 0 - 60 MPH in 2 seconds.
• Countermeasures - comes with a choice to add countermeasures
  • Flares - launches a salvo of flares into the sky to divert heat-seeking missiles.
  • Smoke/Tear Gas/Oil slick - Create an oil slick and launch a couple of smoke grenades behind you. The oil slick causes cars behind you to lose all traction, while the smoke grenades create a massive cloud of smoke obscuring vision and missiles can't track you through the thick smoke.
