Civilians far removed from the surfing lifestyle associate our sedated speech as a product of stupidity. Stupidity derived from frequent absences and tardiness from school in order to score waves during peak swells. What they don’t realize is that surfing generates a zen-state that is unparalleled. Something about floating in a massive body of water completely detached from civilization makes it “simultaneously stimulating and relaxing” (Pitz). A place completely void of technology where the only interactions occur tangibly. While certain surfing locales are hostile, most surfers are never hesitant to strike up a conversation with a stranger. Even our mammal cousins that inhabit the ocean interact with humans to a level that would never be reciprocated from our dry land cousins. Not only do they welcome us, but they rarely refrain from greeting us. No matter what problems fester on the mainland, they are left there. Everyone is brought together under Poseidon and the proverbial gears of life are brought to a halt. It’s almost impossible to have a bad day after a healthy surf session. This has a compounding effect on the robustness of our mental health. Less stress on the mind transmutes to an alluring physical appearance.

I was watching a YouTube video while ago and can’t find it anymore. Kelly was being interviewed and mid interview he tried to spit but it ends up just staying on his chin the entire interview Lmaoo. Anyone know what I’m talking about?
