I just watched her video she uploaded earlier and yes I know it was mean but I really think because she doesn’t have female friends or a sister she doesn’t get honest feedback about her makeup in combination with her clothes. I finally just had to give it to her straight and not sugar coat it.. frankly I would be thankful if someone told me the truth… my comment was only up 2 minutes before being deleted and then I posted again and deleted after 3 minutes.. “ Katie you are lovely without wearing gaudy makeup and clothes. I dont know your age but I’m guessing mid 40’s and are dressing like a Hollywood Blvd hooker with purple makeup like a clown to match your fuzzy sweater. I know you are from Minnesota but I’m sure if Prince were alive he would cringe.”

Katie Hill, Congresswoman at the Center of "Throuple" Scandal, Is Having a Child with the Reporter Who Ran Interference for Her.

In 2019, RedState found itself in the crosshairs of a very irate Congresswoman who was caught up in a scandal.

Former Congresswoman Katie Hill’s most ardent defenders would have you believe the scandal was all about the publishing of intimate photos featuring Hill and a woman she was in a relationship with along with her now-ex as part of a “throuple,” a term I regret ever learning...~snip

One of Hill’s most ardent defenders, however, was Alex Thomas, who at the time was a D.C. reporter for Playboy. He made multiple attempts to get comments from RedState, and Van Laar in particular, regarding allegations that she was involved with the NRCC and other groups who were supposedly shopping the photos around. He did not hide those allegations. They were in his communications with us.

He publicly attacked the credibility of the story, though his tweets from that time period have all been deleted, and probably because of what we learned pretty quickly: He was seen in a relationship with Hill. It was apparently the gossip of the town...~snip
