A list of puns related to "John Hope College Prep"
If you look at the matriculation of these three schools in the past 5 years, over 60% of each senior class goes to T20s. Over 40% to Ivys+Stanford+Duke+MIT. Not every kid who goes to these schools is from a billionaire family who can donate buildings. What's the secret?
When Covid first hit the US and we had to undergo lockdown, my husband and I (both college students) realized we had nothing. And I mean nothing.
We went to Winco at like, 6 am and everything was practically gone. Everything. We managed to buy some bags of rice and some canned vegetables. But we struggled, and yes, we had no toilet paper for a long long time.
I feel like bad stuff is going to start happening again this summer and I want to be at least a little more prepared.
The only thing we have right now is a bug out bag with some food, bandages, towels, and important documents.
Any advice is welcome.
to prove a point sera cant fly give john wind sera can't do anything against invisibility so give john barrier and invisibility and if u want add claws
What do I do?
it was my preps that got my family through corona and the quarantine.
I spent 2 years collecting all this food. I had MREβs, canned goods, flour, sugar, spices etc. everything, gone.she doesn't even live here. she moved out. and my brother moved out too. she turned my room into an office as a surprise to my mom and put my stuff into my brothers old room. She then told my brother she threw out ALL my food. but she kept my candle collection though.
Who wins?
Are there anything about college that SAT does not prepare you for?
I have a 3.1 GPA, 1460 SAT (Retaking it soon in hopes of hitting 1500), pretty good writing ability and a few decent Extracurriculars. I got really lazy sophomore year with covid and it tanked my GPA. Is there any chance i'll make it in to quest bridge's scholarship program. I also have a 1460 psat if that helps. Redirect me to any better scholarships if you know any thx!
I was going to use it on a water filter but just got layed off so hope it can go to someone who can use it. Single time use and it expires tonight.
Edit: Looks like it's been used!
Basically, is being 2004 student better than 2003? And how much would be the difference?
I was filling out my SRAR, but i couldnt find a college prep option in the proficiency level list. I emailed the AOs 4 days ago but i have yet to receive a reply. If anyone here filled out the SRAR, can you help me out please?
Iβm a college student and a beginner cook who is trying to learn how and what to meal prep on a budget. I mainly need some advice on what are some meals that are relatively easy to make and that can be eaten and stored easily thatβll meet all of my nutritional needs; carbs, protein, fat.
Im the kind of person who could eat the same meals pretty often especially since Iβm on a tight budget. As of right now Iβm thinking of meal prepping chicken breasts, rice, and mixed vegetables or broccoli.
For those who meal prep on budgets, what are some easy meals or recipes that can be made and stored all week easily. Iβm practically a novice at cooking, so Iβm trying to start easy with meal prepping.
If there are places that I can look for budget friendly recipes also, Iβd greatly appreciate that.
Edit: I'm actually thinking about doing economics, since psychology doesn't interest me as much as I thought it would. But I am going to grill my dad about it since he's the one who wants me to do it
Sry just need to vent.
So here I was, just chilling, when my mom comes up to me and says that I need to choose two summer programs that my dad had picked out for me by this weekend. Now, I tried to stall this for a while now, because the programs there are BORING. Economics, compsci, technical writing, all that crap (bit of backstory on the econ part. I want to be a lawyer, so my parents were all "ok, but you have to do econ as your undergrad". I was fine with it until I actually looked it up and realized it's boring). Personally I want to get an undergrad in psych, so of course I argued with my mom about that.
She was going on and on with her crap. "What are you going to do with psychology?" "You have to do this, I told you to" "I make these decisions, you listen to me because I'm your mom", "I cook food for you and do everything for you, is it your life then?". She even brings up the classic desi parent bullshit of "You only have two choices for your undergrad: Economics or Computer Science. You can do psychology as a minor if you care so much about it". I'm here like "It's my life and my college, I get to make the decisions, not you", and she eventually gives up and tells me to talk to my dad about this on the weekend.
My mom, despite what you might think from this description of her, is actually much more passive and peace-keeping than she seems. She relents in arguments easily. My DAD on the other hand...not so much. Sure he has my best interests in heart, but he has an ego and believes that his way is the right way and he's in the right almost all the time (if you know enneagram, my mom's a 9w8 so/sp and my dad's a 1w9 so/sp). So an argument is surely going to happen (although there is a decent chance he'll relent and "let" me do psych) .
So yeah, this is going to be fun. Anyways, ty for listening to my rant lmao.
I got selected as a cps back in april (on my bday too) and am a finalist. While I know this isnt the end, I am just kinda mad they set us up to be hopeful for almost an entire year just to not be matched. I feel like I disappointed all of my friends and my guidance counselor. Ahhh idk is it just me?
i am a senior committed to play college lax. what are some more specific things i can do to get prepared for the level of intensity? i hit the wall daily, run a few times a week and am starting to lift. i also think iβd benefit by dropping some pounds, so any advice for that would be great. thanks!
Iβm currently a freshman in high school located in the US. I would like to know what I should be doing if I want to pursue being a lawyer. Iβm on the debate club, but Iβd also like to know what AP classes could help me towards my goal.
