A list of puns related to "Jharkhand"
(Disclaimer: I have tried my best to do research to find out more about why and how Jharkhand was seperated. I am actually from Odisha and somewhat knew that Odisha and Jharkhand do share some similarites. Same goes for the tourist places.)
Juhar!
Welcome to the 10th Geography and Cultural Thread Series. The state that is featured in this series is Jharkhand! Jharkhand folks, do tell us more about the History, People, Food. Culture
Jharkhand is an state in the Eastern Region of India.
The state was formed in 2000. Before 2000, it was part of Bihar. Before Bihar, Bihar and Jharkhand were part of Orissa Province.
Physical Geography
Climate of Jharkhand varies from Humid Subtropical in the north to tropical wet and dry in the south-east. The main seasons are summer, rainy, autumn, winter and spring. The summer lasts from mid-April to mid-June. The southwest monsoon, from mid-June to October, brings nearly all the state's annual rainfall, which ranges from about 1,000Β mm (40Β in) in the west-central part of the state to more than 1,500Β mm (60Β in) in the southwest. Nearly half of the annual precipitation falls in July and August. The winter season lasts from November to February.
About Jharkhand
Formed in 2000, Jharkhand is a state with melting pots of culture and diversity. It has many industrial cities in it.
Jharkhand is known to host some of the industrial cities.
The capital of Jharkhand is Ranchi and the other well known City for industrial activities is Jamshedpur. Interestingly, Dumka is the sub capital of Jharkhand.
Why was Jharkhand separated
Bihar and Jharkhand were part of Orissa Province (Present day: Odisha)
As a result, there had been a lot of resistance from groups to create a new state called Jharkhand. In 1928, before India attained independence, demands for a seperate state was presented to Simon Commission. However, it was rejected.
Thereafter, Bihar split from Orissa and became another state. However, after the Indian Independence, Jharkhand suffered a lot in terms of socioeconomic areas.
In 1954 and 1973, a similar proposal was presented to the State Reorganisation Committee. A new party, Jharkhand Party was formed in Bihar and they won a good majority to submit a memorandum to Faizal Ali, Chairman of States Reorganisation Organisation Committee. The Committee had published a report in 1955. (Report:[https://www.mha.gov.in/sites/default/files/State%20Reorganisation%20Commisison%20Report%20of%201955_270614.pdf](

Jharkhand is a conspiracy created by cricketer M.S Dhoni in order to hide the fact that he is a Pakistani. He saw the state of Pakistani cricket and really wanted to play in the IPL, but could not because he was from Pakistan. So at the age of 17 his parents smuggled him inside a carton of heroin attached to a drone flying over the border. He was dropped in Uttar Pradesh where he met his friend Shoab Malik, Sania Mirza's husband who he married for whatever the Indian equivalent of a green card is. Shoab Malik dropped him off at the cricket ground where recruitment was happening without realising that Dhoni was high due to smelling the Heroin fumes.
Dhoni when reporting to the recruiters was asked where he was from and his brain panicked. His hands started sweating and his legs started feeling weak because he had forgotten his cover story, which was that he is a guy called Sachin Tendulkar from Maharashtra. On the spot he managed to make up a story about his life and told the recruiters that he was from Jharkhand. The recruiters, who were from South India, thought that it must just be another one of those North Indian states and thought it was normal. He played well and with the help of the rat controlling him under his cap (the rat was the spirit of Kapil Dev, who died earlier and is currently a clone, that is a different story I will tell later) won easily and got selected. However he felt bad that he was unable to use his Sachin Tendulkar cover and gave it to his Bangladeshi friend, who also joined him in a career of professional cricket.
And that is the story of Jharkhand. Don't belive me? Tell me another thing from Jharkhand. Can only think of Dhoni? Yeah, I though so. Don't let the deep state lie to you anymore. Jharkhand is fake, it's simply not real.

Hello everyone! I don't think a lot of people know about this ongoing crisis so here I go.
Since the 6th of November 2020, Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has started load shedding by 50% in Jharkhand ( namely in command area which includes Ramgarh, Hazaribagh, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Koderma etc ). I currently live in Meru, Jharkhand ( Hazaribagh district ). Since, the 6th of November, we have been getting a total of 8 hours of electricity in a day. 4-5 hours being from midnight to 5 AM. The reason for the load shedding? Not a technical fault, not an infrastructural problem. It is due to JVBNL( Jharkhand Electricity board ) not paying a total due of 2100 crores to the DVC which resulted in this situation. Till date, no steps have been taken by JVBNL, from the CM of Jharkhand to solve this. Is expecting electricity for at least 16 hours a day too much? I am really surprised to see that there's no protest or anything going on, the plight of people like me is being ignored. How am I supposed to study? How am I supposed to attend my classes when I can't use my laptop on battery for more than 2 hours? I have been tagging the CM and jvbnl since 2 days on twitter but the account of md_jvbnl has checked out since early 2021, no response from anybody else either. Just a rant. Just to show you, don't take basic amenities for granted, people like me are frothing for them. Some days it's only 2 hours, 2-3 days they didn't cut electricity, I felt so good. Right now? Completely miserable. Regards, Aditya Giri.
P.S. Notice for the said load shedding can be found on DVCs website.
