A list of puns related to "Jesmond Dene"
I've been racking my brain all day. Around 8/9 years ago there were rumours of a player being holed up at Jesmond Dene Hotel while the paperwork was being sorted out. Never signed the lad which led to years of jokes about the poor bugger still being stuck in the hotel. It became a meme before memes were cool. He's still there to this day etc. Can anyone remember who the player was?
I'm thinking Swiss, maybe a winger?
Feel free to chip in with your own transfer stories. This was back in the nufcblog days I think.
Was walking in the dene, lots of dachshunds in costumes and hoomans in walkies gear. Who what why and where can I see them again.
Im going there in a couple of hours, but where is there to park? Im going to use my sat nav but does anyone know any car parks which are nearby? Thanks
Hello Folks, looks like I will have the pleasure of visiting your fair City at a point which coincides with a special occasion (think a big birthday) with my partner. Whilst Iβve been a few times for football, Iβve never been too fussed where I stay.
Can I ask for the recommendations of the hotels which would be most appropriate for this? Given itβs a special occasion I would be quite willing to pay a bit as long as it was for a really nice place.
Many Thanks!
Looking for places I can go for a couple of hours to get away from the busyness of the city. I do drive so as long as its easy to get parked I don't mind suggestions that are a bit further away. I love being by water so love the quayside when it's not busy and also the coast. Also like parks but from what I remember last time I went to Jesmond Dene with family the surrounding roads were busy and not too much parking available.
Thank you in advance.
I'm looking to get out of the city and into the countryside a bit to do some walking, but I don't have a car. Does anyone have any suggestions for nice areas/trails outside of the city that are accessible by bus or train?
Iβve recently just moved back to Newcastle/Gateshead area and Iβm trying to find new places to visit. I grew up here so Ive been to the museums and visited jesmond dene etc but maybe something new has opened in the past year or so or a hidden trail maybe? Whether thatβs an interesting walk, maybe an event happening in the coming months or some sort of experience, anyone got some suggestions for things to do that isnβt just eating or drinking?
Wild garlic is probably in season now or soon, anyone know where there might be any growing?

Go post NSFW jokes somewhere else. If I can't tell my kids this joke, then it is not a DAD JOKE.
If you feel it's appropriate to share NSFW jokes with your kids, that's on you. But a real, true dad joke should work for anyone's kid.
Mods... If you exist... Please, stop this madness. Rule #6 should simply not allow NSFW or (wtf) NSFL tags. Also, remember that MINORS browse this subreddit too? Why put that in rule #6, then allow NSFW???
Please consider changing rule #6. I love this sub, but the recent influx of NSFW tagged posts that get all the upvotes, just seem wrong when there are good solid DAD jokes being overlooked because of them.
Thank you,
A Dad.
So far nobody has given me a straight answer
