In 1960, Jazz musician Dave Brubeck cancelled his tour after most venues insisted that he replace his black bassist with a white musician. When one gig allowed them to play but required that he stayed hidden backstage, Brubeck faked a microphone malfunction in order to bring his friend center stage.

41 years ago, Queen played the 2nd of two nights at the Madison Square Garden in New York. This show is among the best on the Jazz Tour, as Freddie's voice is pretty good and the band are on fire, as usual. reddit.com/gallery/jvwqew
