A list of puns related to "Integrated Authority File"
Satoshi created bitcoin as a p2p system not because he thought it would be "fair" on participants involved or because he thought decentralisation was to be worshipped as some "holy truth on fairness for everything" (like some of you are doing). Satoshi created a p2p bitcoin because he didn't want his project to he shut down by law enforcement, he had no other choice.
But now, people have taken the meaning decentralisation and started idolising it and twisted it to mean other things.
"Oh this project is good because it's decentralised".
"This project is bad because it's not as decentralised".
The word "decentralisation" is starting to awfully sound like the word "socialism".
Decentralisation is a technique used to avoid the network completely going down if authorities get involved, it's used both in crypto and file sharing. How software clients talk with one another in a p2p manner to avoid having a central server as the go between. If one node gets shut down by the authorities in a p2p system, it doesn't bring the whole network down and things keep chugging along.
No where in a decentralised network does it state in order to be considered "decentralised" the resources required to be a participant (node) has to appease the poor man's computer setup. Decentralisation makes no promises on fairness. Decentralisation is about network uptime and uptime only.
So I'm tired of all these examples like "Solana isn't decentralised because it cost more money to operate a node than on Ethereum" crap.
Just stop! You're making yourself look dumb and have no clue what decentralisation is supposed to mean.
Rant over
Working as a staff adjuster, i have to request authority on certain files if it exceeds my limit.
I often get inconsistent and conflicting answers when it comes to getting authority on those estimates.
In other words, it depends a great deal on who is giving the authority and when and what kind of mood theyβre in. I have even gotten different answers on the same scenario from the same person at different times.
Itβs really quite confusing to me, because right or wrong seems to be a matter of opinion in the company.
You could ask 3 different people the same question and get 3 different answers.
Sometimes I even get a little anxious requesting authority on a file because depending on who itβs going to someone may disagree with my request. I could ask someone else and get a completely different answer. This makes me feel uncertain.
The company I currently work for is the only company Iβve worked for as a property adjuster.
I was wondering if this issue was company specific or if itβs just in general part of being a property adjuster?

This is a quick project I created to share files to other people easily and without having to deal with: account creation, bandwidth limits, censorship, etc of traditional file hosting. More features can be added and some things may need to be tweaked/fixed.
DreamLink works by giving you a basic IPFS node in the web browser to upload the files you want and share a special url to view their information including urls to public gateways.
As long as you keep a DreamLink tab open and active your IPFS node will continue to distribute the files you have uploaded and the public IPFS nodes will keep your file alive for a while when you disconnect.
All the "magic" happens between you and the web browser, there is no backend and DreamLink itself is a static web page in IPFS:

DreamLink is ideal for quick file sharing, not persistent file storage.
After beating the animal Shane hid it and left it for dead for an entire day later pretending to look for it with the rest of the family as if he had no idea what happened. Lacey's son was the one who discovered the severely injured kitten along with it's severed ear which was on top of a kitchen cabinet. Upon discovery of the injuries Shane tried to flee the house.
There was serious concern that the animal was going to succumb to its injuries and not pull through even after taking it to the vet. Lacey's kids were distraught every time she called from the vet fearing they'd find out the kitten had died. When Lacey returned to the house it reeked of bleach from Shane trying to get rid of all the cat's blood.
Please stop downplaying this, Lacey's comment clearly didn't do a good job of portraying what all happened but this incident almost resulted in the kitten's death. There's nothing remotely funny about this at all. Just because the animal managed to survive and didn't end up dead, or that it's a cat and not a dog and some of you don't like cats- doesn't mean anything about this is trivial or amusing.
ETA: Wow. Can't make a post and go about my day's responsibilities without being accused of being suspicious and inventing a narrative. I used already available info to summarize what happened, because people were literally joking about this and making tasteless jokes in another thread here re: "beating that pussy up." Yes, it appears I may have gotten one of the details regarding the ear wrong, because in one of the videos both the narrator and interviewee mentioned Lacey's son finding the cat's ear on top of the kitchen cabinet, not just merely that they saw an ear poking out. Regardless it was evident that the animal sustained injuries critical enough for hospitalization, for the vet to report the incident to Animal Control, and for Animal Control to want to pursue charges 3 weeks after the incident- even after police already allowed Shane to talk them into 5150ing him in lieu of arresting him.
I personally found Lacey's friend to sound quite credible while she explained what happened, but this information wasn't limited to just what "Lacey and her friends" said. For one, a felony charge of animal abuse was filled against this man. Charges don't arise out of nowhere, the DA has to decide there's sufficient evidence that a crime was committed to file charges. The reason why Shane wasn't convicted was because Animal Control did not show up to testify,
