I've been in crypto for about a year now and have primarily used Binance although this was before my bank (NatWest) got spooked by crypto.
My mum has been watching crypto prices for a while and been wanting to get in on the action and waiting for the right time. She's got investing experience so it's not like bull run euphoria and fomo or anything. She happily missed the ATH to wait for a better buying opp and so she's feeling ready for it now that the market has gone down.
She's asked me to do some research on how she can do this and so far I've got a few options in mind. There's Gemini and eToro (namely because they're FCA regulated). But I've heard great, great things about Kraken and she trusts the name Coinbase. She is worried about monthly or annual costs, inactivity fees etc. that she has run into with normal stocks/shares platforms and would like to avoid these although I've not heard of any of these exchanges having these costs.
Our main concern is the ability to deposit money to the exchange and withdraw it back to the bank account. Does anyone who has a Halifax account have any experience and advice on what the best option might be for her? Any NatWest and Monzo advice/experience is also welcome as I have both

Instead of talking about Tunsil being traded I think the discussion should be centered around Tytus Howard’s performance at LT. I saw improvements in the run game with little to no drop off in pass protection.
Tytus also has been outspoken on social media through twitter and IG that he’d like to stay at tackle
A lot of fans are stuck on Tunsil when he has yet to finish an entire season for Houston neither does he seem to outwardly address the media or Texans fans about interest in Houston . A lot of talking heads already assume he’ll be out the door this year .
I think Charlie heck can perform decent on the right with room for growth as he’s still young and he’s improved every season he’s been here.
Where the Texans really need help is IOL. We haven’t had a solid guard since Brandon Brooks. Draft one or sign one and we’ll see a jump in the run game
Hey, So by blocking trusteer using adaway, I was able to get Halifax working no problem. Worked for months. Now all of a sudden its detecting the root again. Not sure what to try. It is added into magisk hide. Thanks
I’ve been living in Halifax for close to two years now, and I’ve found that buying a lobster for dinner downtown is ridiculously expensive. I know it’s cheaper to buy and cook yourself, but I have family coming down once borders open up and they want to get a lobster dinner at a restaurant. I don’t want them to have to pay $40-50 if possible - Any chances of that happening? Please send restaurant suggestions if you have any!
Went to my local Halifax to update my bank details with new name and gender/title and they rejected the deed poll I created and got signed when I handed it to them. They said its needs to have a wax seal at the bottom and be signed by a solicitor. I told that GDPR means the deed poll I created is just as valid but they still said no. They told me to get one from one of the online companies, which I assume means I will have too pay for it. My finances are limited because im already focused on saving for private appointments, clothes and passport documentation. I dont really have the extra room to pay for a deed poll

Very niche but was wondering if anyone else was having the same issue. Been a patient at Howard Brown in Chicago living in Indiana for two years now. Got a call out of nowhere today telling me that they would not be able to fill my prescriptions since Indiana now longer allows out of state prescriptions of controlled substances. This has really thrown a wrench in everything since i’m in the far outer Indianapolis area so I definitely cannot travel to Chicago whenever I need a refill of check up.
I have an s21 5g (sm-g991b EVR) from EE. No idea how but its detecting root and I'm completely refusing to use the online version due to it not being as accessible and simple.
I am using magisk hide and universal safety net fix. Rootbeer fresh and VD infos are both saying it cannot detect root. The manager app is also repackaged and hidden.
It has been like this for a good month or 2 now (it was the same with my old s10e).
Does anyone have a fix?
I assume whatever is happening is effecting other uk banking apps such as barclays or Lloyd's.

Edit : I am looking for a complete work around, no matter how hacky. Also the firmware is OEM with magisk patched.
Edit 2 : I got it working!! I installed ad-away, blocked trusteer and reinstalled the halifax app.

I just went to start setting up cashing out on Binance and they will not let me add a UK bank account. I've had a look on Uphold and I can only send EUR out of there. I haven't cashed anything out since late 2017 so not sure what's the best option these days. I've read a few threads on here and am looking at:
Coinbase (just reactivating my account and going ID checks)
Revolut (just downloading the app)
Coinify - can do from Ledger live but fees not great
Zumo - see it on another thread here.
What's the cheapest and most painless way to cash out 4 figure-ish amounts these days? I don't have any problem having my activities shared with HMRC, would like to minimise fees and ideall not get my bank account (closed) closed.
It looks like cashing out to GBP has been made difficult. Apologies for asking this and I'm sure it's been asked many times before although it does seem to be a moving target... In 2017 I cashed in and out of Halifax and Uphold with 0 issues, now I can't even do that.
The transfer was supposedly done after 3pm Monday.
