A list of puns related to "Honda S2000"
Hello everyone! Iβm currently in deadlock negotiating a price with a used car dealer for an S2000 and would like some advice. Iβm in the USA.
Itβs got 98,500 miles on it, 1 owner, and has had 3 accidents (according to CarFax, 2 minor and 1 moderate) and the dealer is asking $24,500 for it. I took it for inspections today, at a body shop (because of the accidents) and at a Honda dealer. The body shop said thereβs no frame damage or anything, a few minor bumps and bruises, a cracked bumper in a few places, and the front fender liner is broken and may need replacement. But otherwise, all the accident repairs were done well.
The Honda dealer recommend about $3-4k of work, including replacing an unsafe tire, moldy brake fluid, replacing wheel bearings/alignment, fixing some brake issues, and changing all fluids since there isnβt a service history. They said that otherwise itβs in good shape for its age and doesnβt show signs of being driven too hard.
Iβm offering $20k for it, but the used dealer declined my offer. With that history and that amount of work needed, I canβt see how itβs worth $24,500, and I told them so. They said the lowest theyβll go is $23,500, including having their own mechanic fix a couple of the above issues. Itβs been sitting in their lot for at least a couple of months, so Iβm hoping theyβll be more eager to get rid of it. Iβm planning on calling them tomorrow and asking if theyβll reconsider my offer.
This is my first time buying a used car, so any advice on how to get the dealer to be more amenable to a lower price would be appreciated. Or, whether you think their offer is fair, or anything else. If it matters, Iβm paying cash. Thank you!
Nothing happened to it or anything. I just love remembering that I own one.
Here is my first car model I spent about 4-5 hours working on it.
There are no lights or a license plate on it.
(Not My Wheels)
Busy with this vault SE and it must be one of the weirdest. Not particularly hard by day 5 (suspect it's going to get hectic in final 2 days) but some things stick out:
- Driving a mid 250's PR Honda and beating Blake in a Nissan GTR... are all of his wheels flat? I've got no real world experience but I suspect a crew leader should not be consistently beaten by "you" driving this unimpressive roadster...
- In some SE's, like the NSX 2017 event, the cops really have it out for you - ramming you sideways with all the fury of a supernova. In this SE, they're a problem not because they keep trying to ram you but because of the havoc they cause on the road - they crash into so many other cars and roadblocks that flying cars obscure your vision and become the challenge for that race. In Day 3, one of the RR's has 3 cops "escorting" you - they're supposed to be trying to take you down, but it looks more like there is a donut sale across town and they're in a rush to get there before they run out. Crashing into you would happen only because they're driving so recklessly, nothing being intentional. Weird but quite entertaining.
I know - I'm probably taking the story too seriously, but, cheesy as they are, they can be fun and entertaining, helping make the grind a little more worth it.
