Castle outer curtain wall has it's first hoarding, Not sure about the scale, I think it's a little to big & it's position is not quite right, Some small adjustments & it should look fine when it spans the length of the wall, What do you think, Also my Curtain wall gates now have gate houses above. reddit.com/gallery/omr40y

My 12th level group just took down a mercenary who gets paid in "castles and dragon hoards." What loot should I have on him?

Title. I already have his armor, sword, and shield figured out, as well as a reasonable amount of money.

I've decided I also want him to have a bag of holding with some mysterious skymetal ingots. But, I feel like this renowned mercenary would have more things in his possession than just raw wealth. Maybe a backup weapon? A utility magic item? Really posh adventuring gear?

Aside from items being useful, I really like I could really tell the narrative of this elite soldier by having some interesting items on them. (Bonus if they're useful to the party.)

The only thing I don't want is quest-hook stuff: A treasure map, a mysterious letter, etc. We're at the end of a campaign almost, and I don't really need more hook.s

Would love suggestions, thank you!

It's been almost two months since the pandora papers unveiled a massive network of the rich and powerful hoarding billions of dollars in offshare tax havens, but instead of addressing the obvious fraud at hand, politicians aim to make crypto the "bad guy". You can't make this up.

What are the Pandora Papers ?

"The Pandora Papers is a leak of almost 12 million documents that reveals hidden wealth, tax avoidance and, in some cases, money laundering by some of the world's rich and powerful.

More than 600 journalists in 117 countries have been trawling through the files from 14 sources for months, finding stories that are being published this week.

The data was obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) in Washington DC, which has been working with more than 140 media organisations on its biggest ever global investigation.

What has been uncovered?

The Pandora Papers leak includes 6.4 million documents, almost three million images, more than a million emails and almost half-a-million spreadsheets.

Stories revealed so far include:

  • the owners of more than 1,500 UK properties bought using offshore firms, including individuals accused of corruption
  • the Qatari ruling family who avoided Β£18.5m tax on a London super-mansion
  • Sir Philip and Lady Green went on a property spree after off-loading the BHS retail chain which went on to collapse
  • the prominent Tory donor who was involved in one of Europe's biggest corruption scandals
  • the King of Jordan's Β£70m spending spree on properties in the UK and US through secretly-owned companies
  • Azerbaijan's leading family's hidden involvement in property deals in the UK worth more than Β£400m
  • the Czech prime minister's failure to declare an offshore investment company used to purchase two French villas for Β£12m
  • how the family of Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta's secretly owned a network of offshore companies for decades

The files expose how some of the most powerful people in the world - including more than 330 politicians from 90 countries - use secret offshore companies to hide their wealth."

(Source: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-58780561)

"The leak shows that former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, singer Shakira and many other familiar faces engaged in, at best, aggressive tax avoidance that was accomplished by hiding assets in extremely complex corporate legal entities. Though in some cases hidden funds seem linked to outright corruption, much of this activity is nominally legal – but the very existence of such structures almost guarantees they’re being used for deeply harmful ends well beyond dodging taxes.

For those in the crypto world, it is tem

PSA: hoarding Covid at home tests will only increase your chances of getting infected

Ethics aside, hoarding masks and hand sanitizer made perfect sense last year. It will help you avoid getting infected

Story time: Every single store on the UES is completely wiped of binaxnow Covid tests. Employees say people were buying in bulk In the past 2 days

Hoarding these tests does 1 thing: it stops others from knowing if they’re infectious to you. While the PCR tents take 90+ hours to get your tests back. You can have all the rapid tests you want at home, it’ll only help you find out your neighbor with 0 tests just gave you Covid

Don’t buy more than a couple boxes everyone. You’re literally hurting yourself . The more people that have a small number of these at home, the better

For those of us that require specific medication to remain alive, is there anything besides hoarding pills we can do?

I'm not under the illusion that I can prep my way into coasting through collapse but I have made some moves in recent years to make what time I do have as happy and fulfilling as possible with the hope that I can at the very least prolong having to feel the worst of the pain that is to come.

I've moved to a location that's high elevation, semi-remote, fresh water, has very mild summers and still has proper winters for now. I know better than to think I'll "just ride it out" and at best I've bought myself an extra few years of relative comfort.

But here's the thing, I have a chronic heart condition that requires medication. Without it I will die and insurance won't approve more than 30 days worth at a time. As things continue to decline I worry that one day there simply won't be any at the pharmacy, or that the pharmacy won't even exist or be staffed. And even if I did manage to somehow hoard a bunch of it, that shit will expire and there won't be any replacements. I'll just fucking die. And so will everyone dependent on medicine or regular medical treatment to stay among the living.

I guess all that's left is to see how it all plays out and to regularly ask myself how bad will things get before I consider taking what I can by force. When things do start looking like a bad remake of The Road and you get strong armed for your pills by some lunatic at the Eisenhower tunnel on I-70, it might be me so I'd like to preemptively apologize.

AITA for β€œhoarding” my money?

Sorry if the formatting is off, I’m on mobile.

For some backstory, I (18F) graduated from high school in January, got my first adult job, and just finished my first semester of tech school. I’m still living at my mom’s house and I can’t drive/don’t have a car. My sister (24) finished grad school this spring and owns her own home, which my mom helped her buy. She was given her first car and β€œbought” her second from my mom but never paid her back for it.

For months now I’ve been saving money to buy a car for myself when I get my license. Because I don’t have any expenses (my mom isn’t having me pay rent as I am in school, my parents saved for my college, & I don’t have a car), I have just over 10k in savings as of now. Because of that, my sister is very mad at me.

She keeps making comments about how I’m hoarding my money. I thought she was joking at first, but my mom told me she had complained about me to her as well. She says that there is no reason I should have that much money. I honestly don’t understand where she’s coming from, but I tried to explain to her that I was saving for a car. She refused to acknowledge that and still comments passive aggressively about it.

She has also begged my mom to give her the rest of my college fund, because I’m going to a tech school and it cost nowhere near the amount her college did (she went to a state school and grad school, which her parents payed for). Obviously my mom refused, but my sister is still upset about it.

The more I save or am cautious of my spending, the more hostile my sister gets towards me. We’re barely talking now, and we used to be really close. I want to know if I am being an AH or if something else is going on with my sister. AITA?

Have you struggled with hoarding money? Have you looked back and realized that you missed out on non-financial opportunities due to the fear of spending money?

A few days ago, I made around $15,000 profit on an investment. It took around a few weeks to find it, plan it, and take the "risk" to earn a nice profit. I am retired and am doing this for "fun" or so I thought. But really, it is still an obsession. I have cut out most "fun" things from my life. I haven't ever really felt young or lived a care-free youth. It was bouncing from one obsession after another.

I wanted to retire early at first simply to improve my dating life. An ambitious goal might look attractive! But instead, I become so very socially isolated to the point of mental numbness. I don't even exercise.

I have never been on date. I haven't really done anything socially "fun." I will hit the check-marks of a vacation but really it feels like I just go from one airport to another. Using points of course.

I maybe spend around $15,000 a year on personal, non-investment items. All my hobbies make money. I cut out all the ones that didn't.

I just feel like I am hoarding money at this point. My youth has faded. When people find out I am a virgin, they find it obvious because I'm "boring, a loser."

So I feel like I missed the forest from the trees. Or I forgot the plot and starting filling for time.

Has anyone else experienced the obsession of hoarding wealth to an unhealthy degree?

Focus and don't buy into the false fight. The mentality of wealth hoarding millionaires and billionaires is our enemy. Not boomers or any other class.

Title says it all. Grow up, open your eyes, and stay focused.

Us vs boomers is a false fight. Along with black vs white. Along with China vs USA. Or any other fight except THE fight.

Focus on the real problem: the mentality that it's okay for wealth to be hoarded while others suffer.

All others are distractions intentionally set up to keep us fighting amongst ourselves and never achieving meaningful change. Or as we see now, they're getting richer while we hate one another more each day.

Your neighborhood racist boomer might be an idiot but is also likely in as bad a position as you, and were put there by the same system designed by the same people who are responsible for your miserable lot in life.

Start with you. Commit to never hoarding wealth and to never supporting anyone who does.

Boycott all mega corporations with millionaire and billionaire employees and owners. Don't wait for them to commit further atrocities for their own personal gain. Boycott them now. Drain them dry.

There are alternatives out there. Find them, make them known, support them. Even if it means 5 day shipping instead of 2 for your butt plug 3000 set. Get the 3500 model anyway, it's better.

Support those businesses and individuals who make it clear they are on the side of what is right, helping us ALL to thrive. Look only at their actions and results.

Stay focused.

JFC did we not learn anything about the toilet paper chaos last year? People in Port Alberni don't need to see empty shelves in Kamloops, all it does is create panic in other communities. Supply lines are complex and affect people in the province differently.

Buy the regular amount of food that you need and keep these images off social media.
