A list of puns related to "History of the Middle East"
Hello everyone,
I have been increasingly interested in the history of my people. I was looking for suggestions about books concerning it. I am open to a wide variety of types of books. Preferably looking for a marxist (or socialist at the very least) analysis of arab/persian/afghani history. I'm really open to different time periods, e.g., arab conquest of north africa, colonization, islamization, afghan-soviet war and 20th century history, etc. Not particularly interested in the arab spring or american invasion of afghanistan/iraq. I'm interested in seeing if there is an arab parallel to howard zinn's books.

I realize I am thinking in modern military terms, but that is largely due to my lack of knowledge in even knowing how to formulate the question. I'm just curious how long the average knight expected to be gone, and when did they expect to return. Did they come and go as individuals or as Army's. Interested in extreme stories of Knights who made multiple trips back and forth between europe and the middle east...
Hi there, could any of you point me to what would be generally considered a standard reference on the history of the Jews in the Middle East? My own search on Amazon so far has turned out inconclusive, maybe because the topic is just too broad. Many thanks in advance!
Planning on taking an easy Econ elective next fall. Econ 1292 checks off a lot of my requirements. Any comments about this class and professor?
Iβve been trying to find documentaries on YouTube preferably, any recommendations?
With the recent events I realized I have absolutely no idea what's going on there, please enlighten me.
I'm ignorant on what's happening in the Middle East. Id like to know the history of the 20th century in that area to better explain why we are where we are now.
This should be well known at this point. If I see any of you tankie fucks or otherwise retarded chapo fanboys singing her praises I swear to fucking god

Most morally reprehensible and speaks volume of her shitty character: Voted for a bill, out of line with other democrats and progressives, that would have made it impossible for people fleeing from Syria and Iraq to find refuge in the United States
I can't express enough how ashamed you will be if you voice support for her and have to recant after her history is truly scrutinized as a presidential candidate. In my opinion, she's worse than Beto and Biden. And you shouldn't be voting for either of them either in a primary. She will sell out what little left-policies she does have to advance a insurmountably harmful policy agenda that will do little to nothing to actually help the causes you should care about no matter your personal politics.
This is just a meme warning for you, I expect a bit of dumbfuck pushback from the usual suspects in the replies all of which will only lend credibility to the above statements.
Does anyone know if Arabs/Muslims nowadays are taught that there have been different ethnic groups that existed around the Levantine region way before the Arab Muslims invaded those lands from the lower Arabian Peninsula? I have a poor judgement that they have always been taught or beleived that they are the indigenous people of that region.
If one was trying to geta better understanding of the history of Islam within the Middle East, what books would be recommended? Likewise, are there any books of the Middle East prior to Islam?
So, books prior to Islam in the Middle East , books of Islam in the Middle East. It doesn't really matter to me if it is historical or Archeological.
