37 Hilarious History of Belfast Puns

I've written an alternate history play where Ireland is still part of the UK, and is holding an independence referendum. It's on at the Lyric in Belfast next week if anyone's interested.

I posted about my last play on here, which was about my testicles, and people were interested, so here's the next one!

The play was the winner of a competition by Fishamble Theatre Company to find "A Play for Ireland". It opened at the Dublin Theatre Festival there and has toured to Galway, Cork and Limerick before coming up to Belfast next week.

Synopsis

The Alternative

What if Ireland was still part of the United Kingdom? What if Home Rule had passed? What if there was no War of Independence? No Civil War? No partition? What if the island had only one soccer team?

The year is 2019 and it is the eve of the Referendum. British Prime Minister Ursula Lysaght is returning to her hometown of Dublin to convince voters to Remain. With the threat of chaos in the streets, and personal conflict behind the scenes, the final debate is set to begin at BBC Dublin: Should Ireland leave the UK?

Recommendations for tour guide in Belfast for tour of murals/city history

Traveling to Belfast and am very interested in the history of the city. Would like to educate myself a bit more on the conflict and was told a guide with a car would be a good way to go for a day. Important that they’re accurate and not biased in the teaching of it.

After watching and reading a lot I am glad to hear conditions have improved there for you.

Most of you already know about Unsinkable Sam. He survived the Bismarck the HMS Cossack and the HMS Ark Royal in WWII before he got to retire in Belfast and enjoy his last years. My friend made a petition to turn his story into a song by the band Sabaton. Info in the comments.

Hospitality staff of Belfast which bars/restaurants should I boycott after lockdown?

Hey all, I just want to know which bars threw their staff to the wolves when all this started and who I should subsequently boycott. I am also interested in stories of business who have stood by their staff. I have heard that Deans at Queens have been paying their staff 80% out of their own pocket as they haven't received and money from the government yet. Legends.

Was recommended to post here this is the Crest of the former GNRI (Great Northern Railway Ireland) on the side of loco 85 Merlin the GNR ran the route between Dublin and Belfast and most routes in Northern Ireland from 1876-1958

A division of 3 belfast

Im kinda new to this game. Having my first tier 8 North Carolina and i just witnessed a division of 3 belfasts. They just smoke up and rain so many shells at me set me on fire 3 time right after i use damage control another 4 fire on me. I tried to blindfire in smoke and 2 overpen and i die straight from 100 to 0 like instantly. Im just mad and sad how can i counter that Thank you
