A list of puns related to "Belfast Lough"
Weβve visited Newcastle, Derry, Colraine & Bangor before. Would like to hear about walks/nature day out.
Thank you,
Edit: for all the negative Nancyβs - of course we wonβt be over til restrictions are lifted. We were kindly gifted ferry and accommodation to visit home, itβs on a flexible ticket.
I live in Newtownabbey and I've noticed low-flying helicopters over Belfast Lough, every few evenings or so, around 1 or 2am. I checked Flight Radar, and it doesn't provide any departure or arrival information.
On the Flight Radar map view, it usually seems to fly from somewhere in Scotland to Aldergrove (roughly), but the Helicopter icon usually disappears before it gets there.
Any idea what this is or who it's for? It's really bugging me.

This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 70%. (I'm a bot)
> Native oysters have unexpectedly returned to the shores of Belfast Lough after more than 100 years, researchers have discovered - though scientists are still unsure how they got there.
> Large numbers of oysters were last recorded in the sea inlet during the late 1800s before they were fished to oblivion a few years later.
> One theory suggested by the researchers is that sediment moved to Belfast Lough from the Irish Sea perhaps contained young oysters, which then went on to establish a small population in the area.
> Belfast is an increasingly busy port and it is also possible that the regular washing effect caused by ships' wakes has reduced the amount of sediment along the lough shore to levels suitable for oyster reproduction.
> In principle the lough could one day be home to a future oyster fishery right near Northern Ireland's capital, he added.
> The return of oysters was encouraging, said Lynn Gilmore at the Seafish Northern Ireland Advisory Committee, an industry group.
