Just for fun! If you could change one thing about FF7 Remake, what would it be? Could be as big as changing it seriously to be more faithful to the original, or as tiny as altering a costume/voice actor/background detail/whatever, or any gameplay mechanic in between.

I’m 21 and in college for computer science. I played tight end in high school football and also in college (not a major program), so I’m larger than the average person (for the record, I’m 6’5” and 230). I work part time in a gym.
My friend who also works at the gym is female and 25. We are strictly friends and I have no interest in her like “that.”
Recently she said she was moving apartments and was complaining about how much movers cost. I commiserated and said yeah, it’s expensive, especially if you have a lot of stuff.
I know she knows I have a truck because I park it at the gym every time I work. She drives a smaller Fiat 500 car.
I feel like she’s hinting that she wants me to help her move, but I’m waiting for her to come right out and ask me. At that point, I would have told her that I would help her with small things but that I wasn’t going to lift anything heavy, because I don’t want to jeopardize my football scholarship or lose my job at the gym if I snap an ankle or something. Also, selfishly, I don’t want to scratch up my truck because it’s still new.
Thus, probably meaning she would still have to hire movers, or at least get some more guys willing to haul her stuff. I would not have asked her to pay me, because she’s a friend. However, I would need for her to ASK me first. I wasn’t going to just offer.
But she never did end up asking me, so I dropped it. She continued to be my friend, acted the same at work, our group of gym workers continued to go to social functions once a week like normal.
Just yesterday though another worker at the gym (she is also female and the same age as the other woman) said I was a bastard and not a gentleman because I didn’t help the friend move. This other girl was talking about how “not everyone is big shot scholarship football guy” and is rolling in money (lol; if I was rolling in money I wouldn’t be working at a gym for minimum wage). This other friend DID help the friend move, as it turned out, but that she had her brother and father help lift things in her dad’s truck.
I said that was great but the first friend didn’t even ask me to help her.
My other coworker said I was dense and should have offered like an “actual man.”
Now I feel bad, and I’m not happy about the shaming language, either.
But at the same time, AITA for not offering my truck and offering to help my friend move? Was it wrong for me to wait to be asked before doing anything?
