A list of puns related to "Hinamatsuri (manga)"
I finished spy x family today in one sitting and I realized why I loved it so much. It reminds me of hinamatsuri which is one of my favourite series. It also reminded me a bit of kaguya sama which is also a favourite.
Itβs sweet, funny and has a lot of mix up. I like the double life/mind game aspect with the sweetness of raising a child. Any suggestions?
What I loved about Hinamatsuri:
-The show never focuses too much on one character
-All the characters are different and don't follow main stereotypes, so every episode feels fresh
-The superpowers of the girls are mainly used for comedic relief and are not a major plot line.
-A vase-sexual non-typical main lead (Nitta) that has his own flaws but tries his best to be a fatherly figure towards Hina and Anzu
-Best daughter Anzu
Please recommend me a show or a manga that is similar to hinamatsuri, or at least, ticks most of the above points. For the record, i have watched most of MAL recommendations on the hinamatsuri anime page.
Thank you for your time.
Edit: honestly, amazing recommendations down here in this thread, thank you all so much. I now have enough anime/manga for the next month(s?) I appreciate it alot!
I'm looking for something not too serious and has a mix of everything. A manga that has a comedy but still has its moments not reaching to the point that the series is just a joke. Doesn't matter what genre it falls in as long as it fits the description.
Hinamatsuri
-Comedy but still has its touching moments
-Doesn't really fall in those comedic tropes
-Great cast
-Doesn't focus on one character
-It's good
Golden Kamuy
-Shows the perspective of the other characters
-Something "realistic" (Like the depiction of war and how it effected the characters)
-Characters are fleshed out
-Doesn't focus on one character
-Each characters has their own goals and ideals making them not really a villain
-There is no clear villain
-It's good
Would prefer if it's not too long or too short.

Kinoβs Journey V1-6: $42 (mostly G5, only read V1. Pages nice and straight for all, v6 has a couple of medium-tier bends on the front cover but is otherwise fine.)
Hinamatsuri V11: $3 (G3, has a small bend on upper corner of front cover that came like that for me, but otherwise everything else is in great condition. Read once and reread some scenes from time to time.)
Claymore V5: $2 (G3, yellowed pages but everything intact and never read.)
Mushoku Tensei LN V1: $9 $8 (G5 condition, read once.)

All are in excellent, like new condition. The only ones that have been read are the first 5 volumes of one piece. Absolutely no yellowing or tears. Need the money to pay for college. US only please.

So I am looking for a manga that is laugh out loud funny but can also make feel sad, emotional or inspired. So I want good drama or romance. Some of my favorite manga that fits this is Hinamatsuri, kaguya sama, silver spoon, Dorohedoro. Preferable the manga does not have a anime adaptation as I have probably watched it.
I think the whole wholesome yakuza men thing is adorable. Anything similar to those? Preferably slice of life. Thank youu
I finished the Hinamatsuri anime. Which volume of the manga can I pick up to continue with the story?
Basically Comedy mangas that are also "School Life" or "Slice of Life".
I just finished Angel Denetsu, Clover, Ochoa nigosu, and thought they were fantastic. Im currently reading Hinamatsuri.
So I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations for Comedy mangas that were similar to these?
Thanks
Per title.
I used to read manga for a while, then I stopped and went back to anime only. I love Kaguya-sama but still wasn't interested in the manga, until I found Hinamatsuri. it's incredibly funny and ridiculous. And yes, some parts of it are touching and heart-warming, but I'm not interested in that as much as the comedy. I already get touching and heart-warming from Aobuta.
I don't usually read manga at all so I'm pretty unfamiliar with online manga sites. From the couple that I've seen, the fan translations for Hinamatsuri aren't particularly impressive and I really want to experience more of this hilarious title. Do you guys have recommendations for good English translations of this manga?
