A list of puns related to "Hi.5"
β¦βAnna couch.β
When we moved to our current home, we were going a little crazy from the long drive and started personifying random things along the way that had names posted, (the street named Kirk, a Church named Baptis because the t fell off, and a bridge named after a Carl Woodard). Ever since, (almost a year now) the 5 kids and my wife all say hi to Kirk and Carl on the way home, each in their own way. I, however, being the Dad, use every opportunity to not speak to Carl... Instead I give dad-joke reasons why I refuse.
"Carl and I had a fight. He thinks it's just water under the bridge, but I can't get over it." My oldest daughter said, "Dad, come on, you should forgive Carl." My answer, "No, it's beneath me." My youngest daughter asks, "Dad, why don't you say hi to Carl?" My answer, "He makes me cross."
Dad has always said, βHi hungry, Iβm dad.β But at some point dadβs cringy puns became so bad they were good. When I was a kid dad jokes were a low form of humor, but nowβ¦ well, this sub has 5.1 million subs. So my question is, when did dad jokes become so universally loved?
Me: good grief in full
5 year old: Hi Full, I'm Miriam!
Never been so proud of her in my life.
Sofia (3) looked at me and said she was thirsty. Without missing a beat, Kailey (5) said, "Hi Thirsty, I'm Kailey."
I rolled. So proud.
A little girl at Target is repeatedly meowing "Meow Meow Meow Meow." She's been at it for ~5 minutes.
Her dad says
"Hi Ow, I'm dad."
She stops.
He says "Oh, I thought you were saying 'Me ow' like 'I'm Ow.'"
She went right back to meowing. She must not have appreciated it.
Dad: "Hey, are you tan from the sun?" Me: "... I guess." Dad: "Well hi! I am Dad from Earth!" He then proceeds to laugh for a solid 5 minutes.
My wife is making lasagne and was about to put it into the oven.
Her (to my son): "Say goodbye to the lasagne overkill_jnr!"
Me: "Say Pasta la Vista"
This got a hi 5 from my boy and a dirty look from the missus.
Called in to get my work for the next day as I'm a student who's brought back part-time over the Christmas break.
Me: "Hi, I'm ronnockoch one of the students who is working Christmas, can I have my work for tomorrow?"
Dispatch:"Hi ronnockoch one of the students who is working Christmas, how are you?"
Conversation for about 2 minutes
Me: "Okay, see you at 5:00am tomorrow! Have a good day Dispatch!"
Dispatch:"Bye, ronnockoch one of the students who is working Christmas."
Clearly he'd fit right in here
