This sub has taught me so much, and it was the perfect place for a beginner like myself to go. You guys are the reason I ended up getting my Sig p226 Extreme, a damn fine weapon that I will hang on to forever lci and all. Although I did cerakote it to get rid of the ugly ass letters, but at least now I will finally be able to put STANDARD capacity mags in it.
Hopefully you guys will be ok with me hanging around in here after I leave. I don’t usually announce departures like this I know it’s kind of cheesy, but I also know that I am not alone in this and maybe some of you that see this have either done it, or will do it, or are maybe on the fence about it.
Personally talking about it is one thing, but actually doing it is a different story and I am nervous af right now. Doubts are starting to creep in, I have two young kids (8 and 5) and they’re fine with it now but I just keep asking myself if I am making the right decision or not for my family. We will be leaving my wife’s family behind but joining my family that I still have in SC since I used to live there.
My wife is fully onboard, but I also worry that she will have regrets one day. She was born and raised here, but it’ll help that we’ll still be close to my family and she gets along well with them.
Sorry about going on and on. Thank you r/CAguns for everything you have taught me. Every single one of you in here has been nothing but helpful and willing to share knowledge, I will always be grateful.
TLDR: actually going through with it and leaving the state. Nervous af and hoping this is the right decision but we will finally become homeowners. r/CAguns y’all the best!
