And would you say any GNR song is straight up Metal? (Excluding glam metal)
On Wikipedia, itβs classified as a nu metal album, and I can definitely hear a lot of guitar riffs and programmed beats that sound nu metalβ¦ however, thereβs also a lot of guitar solos, which nu metal is not known for having.
As a fan of guns n roses early records but not so much their later career I thought I'd check out some footage of a recent concert to see what they're like live these days. Maybe I shouldn't have as they looked and sounded worn out. Axls voice sounded terrible and he looked out of shape and was tired. The setlist was the same as it has been for the past 30 years and I thought they should just call it a day. Lots of fans say how his voice is improving but I doubt it'll ever be as great as it once was.

If their music was a food It'd be plain oatmeal. I'd rather listen to someone accidentally scratch their dinner plate with a knife while cutting a steak a thousand times minute for several hours than listen to Axl Rose's voice. GnR sing with their noses most of the time and joe elliot just a slightly less annoying voice than axl. Don't even get me started on how uninspired the music sounds.
Isn't it time for a movie about them? Full on Rated R, go all out. With all they went through from the mid 80's to the 90's and beyond would make an awesome movie.
Hi there. I'm planning to go to a Guns N' Roses stadium concert in Hannover, together with my 10 year old daughter. She is is really into Slash playing the guitar and I'm a huge fan.
I'm not sure if I should buy tickets for in front of the stage (will she be able to see anything? any risk of crashing?) or take the seats after all and look at the screens from far. Has anyone been to this stadium for a concert? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks
These are the options:

The rock and roll group from the late 80's doesn't exist anymore. They don't write songs in the back of a touring van. They don't party. They don't live with eachother or share an environment. They don't have a tight-knit friendship group. They don't create together. The caricature of 80's LA you have in your head is not a world that these guys inhabit.
Guns N' Roses is a business model designed to generate a cash flow. Its model is, essentially, to play big arenas, selling expensive tickets, to people who are willing to pay the money for it. They wear their leather outfits, they play the songs that the general public wants to hear, and then they go home.
They will likely not release a new album. If they do, it will likely be half-arsed. If it's not, it will likely still be disappointing, simply because of the obvious fact that this is not a group intent on creating.
The amount of cope I see in this sub is getting out of hand now. It's time to face reality.

Does anybody know if there was ever any public feuding between the bands? Obviously Nirvana and GNR had a big feud going on but I was wondering if there was anything similar between PJ and GNR.
