A list of puns related to "Greatest Hits (Spice Girls album)"
#Origins The Spice Girls were formed in 1994 after father-son managing due the Herberts put out an ad looking for young women with personality and drive who could sing or dance. Melanie Chisolm (singing "I'm So Excited" by the Pointer Sisters), Victoria Adams (singing "Mein Herr" from Cabaret) and Melanie Brown (singing The Greatest Love of All by Whitney Houston) made the first round. Geri Halliwell went to a subsequent audition; the Herberts were initially wary of her cause she was slightly older than the others, but she won them over with her hutzpah and won a spot the group. Michelle Stephenson originally rounded out the group, then called Touch, but left. There are conflicting reports regarding the reason why. Short after, Adams' one-time voice coach who knew the Herberts, Pepi Lemer, recommended Emma Bunton to them. She auditioned with "Right There" by SWV and earned her spot in the group.
The five girls first met at a train station and clicked; they lived together for months, practicing their singing and dancing non-stop. However, they grew tired with the Herberts not giving them much creative freedom and not really moving their career along, so they refused to sing a contract brought to them (partially thanks to advice from Adams's lawyer uncle) and dropped their managers, taking some of the demos they recorded with them. While self-managing for a bit, they contacted producer Elliot Kennedy, with whom the Herberts wanted to set them up but never did, after finding him on the phone book. His studio had previously been unused and was baptised Spice Studio thanks to them after they began working together.
They auditioned for Simon Cowell to be their manager, but he rejected them. Adams later said he was "the only man who ever said no to the Spice Girls". They later found a new manager in Simon Fuller, who hired Lemer to be their vocal coach and sped things up for them. They were soon signed to Virgin Records and baptised Spice Girls (instead of just their chosen name Spice, because there was an American rapper named so)
#Creation, release and reception Spice is a pop album that draws from teen pop, bubblegum, dance, smooth R&B, as well as bits of nu-disco and funk here and there. The eleven track album was written entirely by the Spice Girls with the aid of writer and producers such as duo Biff Stannard and Matt Rowe (four songs), Absolute (four songs), and Kennedy (one song). Cary Bayliss also co-wrote one song, while Cathy Dennis c

I always enjoy greatest hits or singles collection albums since I'm a cd collector and i listen to cds on the road. i have all of gaga's albums on cd but I've always wondered why she hasnt put out a greatest hits album. my other fav artists have so is there a reason why gaga hasn't?
My lifelong friend and I were playing records this weekend, and he wanted to hear some GNR. He immediately went for Greatest Hits. This led to a discussion about what their best material was.
I stated that the deeper cuts were their best. He said, "Prove it."
Long story short, I went with Coma. He was super impressed with it. However, I'm beginning to wonder if I should have gone with Rocket Queen.
If there is a certain order, please specify
Someone asked best debut album, why not best Greatest Hits? Official or not. But has to be a real released album, not somebody's mixed CD or tape.
I'll go first, these aren't necessarily my favorites but I feel like they represent their albums the best.
I Hate everything about you/Home
Animal I have become/Never too late
Break/World so cold
Chalk outline/Expectations
I am machine/Fallen Angel
Right left wrong/The mountain
No singles are allowed to be on the album. B-sides are allowed as long as they arenβt arguably as famous as the A-sides like Revolution or Donβt Let Me Down. Songs that werenβt released as singles but are still world famous like Here Comes The Sun or While My Guitar Gently Weeps canβt be chosen either.
well their discography so far,
from the debut (love the album but the name is hell to type and the acronym doesn't help)-Fake Tales From San Fransisco-I Bet That You Look Good On The Dancefloor-When The Sun Goes Down-A Certain Romance (or Mardy Bum any would work)
from Favourite Worst Nightmare-Brianstorm-Fluorescent Adolescent-505-Do Me A Favour
from Humbug (forgive me If i don't do this justice, I have listened to Humbug the least amount of times out of all the albums)-Crying Lightning-Dangerous Animals-Pretty Visitors-Cornerstone
from Suck It And See-Black Treacle-Piledriver Waltz-Don't Sit Down Because I Moved Your Chair-Suck It And See (I really like Love Is A Laserquest though)
from AM-Do I Wanna Know-R U Mine?-Arabella-I Wanna Be Yours
from TBH+C-Star Treatment -Four Out Of Five (I love American Sports too)-Batphone-The Ultracheese
Anyway, thanks for making it all the way down here, I probably forgot some stuff and I am pretty sure most of this is up for debate so I look forward to seeing that (might make edits too!) I've been lurking and commenting in this Sub a lot so I'd really like to contribute something that'll start a conversation here, looking forward to what you guys think!
Edit 1: Added Four Out Of Five, I forgot
I was listening to βGrammyβsβ and heβs got that line in there about greatest hits and it got me thinking: if he died or never released another track, meaning what we have now is all we get, what do you think would be the very first song on his GH album/compilation (if they made one)??? Bc I feel like that one song in a way has to encapsulate exactly what that artist is all about in a way right? And drizzy has so many bangers.
So, verdict?
If there was a Gojira Greatest Hits album, what would be your choice of songs?
