We all know that gaming companies in 2020 rely heavily on pre-orders (PO) and hypes to get that extra revenue early.
Imagine this scenario: right after a big AAA title is announced, people buy calls (preferably on margin). Then everyone will pre-order 100 copies of the game. 1 million gamers x 100 copies x 60$ = $6B expected revenue in a single day. This will make calls print infinite. Then near the release date or whatever income report date, people all buy puts and everyone cancels their PO. This means the company will lose $6B in a single day, making puts print infinite. People can use whatever trendy topic at the time (sexual harassment, poor employee treatments, human rights issues in China, etc) as the reason for canceling our PO.
I don't see how this can go wrong, especially with companies that people already hate. "We just like the game" and then "We just don't like how the company treat issue X" is completely reasonable and legal. Asian fan girls buy 100s of albums from their favorite singers all the time.
This is unprecedented. Trully. You think it is unoticed ? The wall financial world knows what is behind that. They are fucking terrifying about this. You, as individual investor, are stopping the big tchoutchou to go on, and everybody inside needs to step out.
Gamestop and their partner know this as well, trust me bro. Why the fuck do you think they are silent about this ? Because of the man with the plan.

- gift all players 1000 diamonds daily until glitch is fixed
or
- make all challenges much easier and not limit items to current season (done like the jet sets like 'wear a yellow bag' or 'wear a white top')
Neither of these things would cost the company any real life money. It is completely ridiculous this company continues to play dumb. Every player knows that this game glitches all the time and one of the things all players have had to do is delete the app and re-download. People lose their accounts with thousands of diamonds. It is absurd that an app that costs this much to play doesn't fix these issues.
I've been enjoying Diablo 2 Resurrected since release Worked my ass off in game with buddies to get to a great spot. Had a random nothing death tonight and when I went to recover my equipment about 90% of it was just gone. Completely killed my love for playing instantly. Tech support knows about the issue but won't help as I found a post with multiple people having this problem and the company responding that they won't help or fix the players' issues.
Really didn't need this kind of negativity; shits hard enough right now before my weekly hobby with friends got nuked.

I just want to vent to someone who might understand.
I got laid off recently. I kind of guessed it was coming, so Iβve been applying to jobs casually for a few months. I was excited about one application- a non tech role at a tech company- and was delighted to see in the application portal that I had been moved to the interview stage. Weeks passed and no contact. The application confirmation came from a no reply, so I email all of the βcontact usβ addresses I can find. A few more weeks and still nothing. Iβm panicked. So finally I ask a connection for a favor to see if he knows anyone at the company who might be able to help. His connection learns that they did intend to interview me, but there was some kind of mistake in the system and I was never contacted. Oops. The role is filled.
Just w.t.actual.f. Sometimes I feel like Iβm doomed. Just like, fate is against me π€·π»ββοΈ
Honestly, This is getting unreal. This is in TN.
My GF makes 10/hr with a company. They are a large insurance company that pays 10/hr but when she gets to the residence house as a caretaker she clocks in, it takes her location to show she is at the house, so it shows she is at the residence, then she works.
Literally every day, she clocks in at their residence, and there is a "system glitch" saying that she is clocking in outside the residence, and due to this, they "Have to pay her 8/hr" and there's nothing she can do. Note, this isn't a "If she is late'' or anything. She can show up an hour late, but as long as she clocks in at their house, she is "fine". Well, every day there is this system glitch where she gets paid 8/hr instead, and this is confirmed by her getting a text from her boss saying "The system is glitching again, you're only getting 8/hr".
One day they paid her, then literally just took their paycheck back from a "system glitch". Yes, they paid her. Then withdrew all the money back from her account and just took her entire paycheck and said "woops" and kept it.
Again, all this due to a "system glitch". She is only out $500 or so, and thus a lawyer probably wouldn't be worth it unless there are other claims to be tacked on. She threatens a lawyer and their response is "You arent the first person to threaten a lawyer. There's nothing we can do".
Obviously, she is planning on quitting and leaving, and quite frankly she is hesitant to even take up a lawyer. I am a law school student thinks she should sue, because lets be real, they're just gonna settle.

I've been stuck on this mission for a while now, and I'm getting kinda pissed at the game. Every time I'm just about to be done the part where you have to protect Annika and Teos helicopter, the helicopter, no matter what health its at drives to the ground and crashes itself. Has this happened to anyone else and if so, how do you fix it?

Not sure if anyone else remembers MrBeastβs 100k challenge of keeping your finger on the app a few months ago. There seemed to be a number of people who may have lost because of bugs in the app such as bombs knocking out players even though they werenβt in the βblasting areaβ of the bomb. There also seemed to be glitches where multiple lives were lost at a single time and knocking people out of the competition.
If it could be shown that a glitch/bug caused by the organizers of a competition was responsible for someone losing that competition would they have a valid legal argument for suing?
Computer glitch is a myth which doesn't exist in modern computers. Either bad programming or when a program meets a new condition not defined in it's logic is called a bug and fixed with a patch. Helpdesk people call it glitch so that they don't have to explain all those details to people. I will try to explain what my thought is. All the brokers pull the short interest data from one or multiple source(s). Someone at high level probably asked the developers to hide AMC only data or to show 1/2 of the SI data and its simple SQL query and calculation before you can present the data. Now what I think as it was totally illegal so there was no legal change record of it. Probably financial head asked a small team to implement that. Now in next change request the team overwrote that part of the program as probably it was never committed to their repository. This might be the reason we saw so many so called *glitches* with AMC stock in 2021. This time Apes noticed and made such a huge noise that they were afraid that if they *correct* then it may lead to investigation or court case and open can of worms and some big guys may go to jail if exposed. Thats why they just added that 12/15/2021 date to it. If it was a programming bug then you would see double SI for all the companies and not just AMC. I wrote many tools and still write so I know how things work.

Edit: Saw many people called me stupid, moron and used many other nice words. So I thought I will reply them here. Ok, Modern Computers don't glitch is a very simplified statement. I used that sentence just to explain that you probably hear this a lot when you call help-desk and they just use this to hide the truth. Now next thing about the glitch.
Two types of people replied, developers with practical coding experience agreed with the statement that there can't be so many *glitches* with only one ticker AMC. Someone must be tinkering with that specific data somewhere. It can be intentional or whatever but programs don't pick and choose unless designed to do it.
