A list of puns related to "Gin Gin, Queensland"
This was a Mulled tipple choice question.
I wrote off gin for 20 years, but now I see the truth: it's the best. I used to think it was whiskey or bourbon... scotch. Wrongo. It's gin. Let's face it. Vodka is shit. Tequila makes me wanna get naked. Rum is for pirates, yo ho. Brandy is not as slick as she claims. Wine doesn't count. I don't even know what beer is. It's all about the gin, baby. π
Edit: Honestly guys I hate it when people leave edits to thank everyone for the awards, but I feel compelled to do so. Thank you for the awards, ya drunks.
Yea fuck it, I'm a lazy dad. Someone please help me finish this joke
Some fans criticised the twist involving Gin's true motivation throughout the series, saying how it wasn't in keeping with his character throughout Bleach. I mean he done some pretty horrific things even aside from Aizen's bidding. Such as when he murdered the Fifth Division's Third Seat in order to impress Aizen or when he cut Hiyori in two. Of course in the Soul Society arc, he was believed to be the one pulling the strings but I think he was enacting Aizen's plan in that situation. Plus the emotional trauma he put Izuru and Rangiku through should not be understated.
However, I don't think Kubo tried to portray Gin as a good guy, but a man who lost himself in his quest for vengeance. Typically, revenge is something no one should seek as it is fuelled by rage and is not concerned with justice. Gin didn't just wanna retrieve the piece of Rangiku that Aizen took, but he wanted to kill him for hurting her. Even this could be seen as an entirely selfless act, yet over time such a burden weighed heavy on him and changed his morality forever. The lines between what was right and wrong became blurred and Gin embodied the mantra 'the ends justify the means'.
This selfless act doubles as something selfish, as Rangiku never asked for him to retrieve what was taken from her and if she could choose she would rather he stay with her. Is Gin serving himself through his mission? Does he feel guilty that he wasn't there to protect her? Nonetheless, Gin had to lose himself and become 'the snake' in order to commit the atrocities he does. Perhaps Gin even enjoyed the person he became. He is a creepy dude that watches others and he seems to revel in the fact that he unnerves the people around him.
Ultimately, I feel Kubo tried to teach the reader a moral message with Gin; revenge may feel good for a short while but it will eventually lead to despair. Culminating in the tragic way Gin died as he didn't complete his mission and no one knew about it, not even Rangiku. The best things about Bleach and any piece of fiction are the unspoken features, whether that be lore or character traits. The abovementioned is the reason why Gin is my favourite Bleach character. This stuff has probably been said before lol but I've recently read some opinions saying that this twist didn't make sense.
Who wins?
what do you think is the prettiest bottle of gin? I don't care how good the gin is, I'm just interested in the aesthetics. I'm planning to do a photo shoot, and I'm looking for some nice bottles...
Just looking for a good gin to add to my playlist. Thanks in advance !
I've got a question. Why on Earth is Beefeater so very popular outside of the UK?! I see it fairly often on this subreddit and it always baffles me a little bit.
In England, Beefeater is considered a bit... bottom shelf? Not quite rubbish, but not one I'd choose to buy for myself at all. It's not that it's overly offensive in taste, but it is cheap. I think you can probably get a 70cl bottle for between Β£15 and Β£20 on any given day in England, if the supermarket even chooses to stock it anymore. It's actually that unpopular.
So really, what do you guys find so special about Beefeater? I'm genuinely very curious and would like to know how it became a popular brand in this gin community.
I usually drink my gin (Uncle Val, Green Hat, Monkey, Bluecoat) in a dry martini with Vaya vermouth. In the summer, Iβll drink Hendricks with some tonic.
I also drink Scotch and bourbon neat or occasionally on the rocks.
Whatβs your favorite way to drink gin? Do you drink different gins differently?
