A list of puns related to "General Mobile Radio Service"
The less you give them the less they give you. Seems fair right? But hear me out
If you donβt have the app thereβs certain things you canβt do. Like why?? Just because we didnβt dedicate our space to you?? And if youβre listening on Mobile (app or not) itβs even worse!! Shuffle play isnβt optional!! Like seriously, why make us listen to music we donβt want to hear. If I want to use shuffle play then I will use it.
I donβt know how to put my disdain into words so hereβs my little rant. I think all music streaming services have flaws but Spotify is the just worst IMO. ESPECIALLY on Mobile.
Just hear me out. I know Copyright could be a concern, but there are few ways to do something about it.
I don't know, these Space Truckers need some Entertainment along the way, myself included. I bet there are some real creative people out there who would use this feature for real!
Please GIB!!!
(Originally posted in r/techsupport) Yesterday I called my friend to procure some maryjane seedlings To clarify, it will be legal next week to possess plus I have a medical card) and as always she was actively smoking weed on the call. What was really odd was at regular intervals (say, every 15 seconds) I heard a bubbling sound and someone in the background, a female voice shouting what sounded like numbers or commands of some sort with an echo as if it were a large, empty room. I reasonably thought my friend was using a hookah and watching TV but claimed she wasn't using a pipe but a rolled joint and that her location was in her 'she-shed'.
It sounded like possibly a pool aerator at an indoor facility with someone giving swim lessons. Only one utterance every 10-15 seconds. (like number station activity)
After she hung up, these sounds continued! I was going to record but as soon as I tried to open the recorder app I disconnected.
What really puzzles me is that 1.) it continued after she was gone and 2.) what other things are on this wavelength that could interfere and why did it happen? This was a regular cellular call, not internet driven. I am a technician and never encountered this before.
Honestly, this was chilling to the bone. What devices or theories do you have around this?
Iβm going to be at the game tonight and would love an ear on the play by play broadcast. Iβve searched through Tune In radio in the past with no luck. Any leads here would be awesome! Go Bucks. Bucks in 6.
it's not because of advertising, culture, or influencers...
bruh, Westeners got big physiques = big thumbs = harder to play on phone touchscreens.
lol, bye karma.

My goal: #1 - Mobile Unit with at least 70cm/2m/D-star #2 - Base with 70cm/2m/6m -160m/D-Star
I am a new HAM, have only talked VHF/UHF on on local repeaters on a Baofeng HT. Not sure where I am going with this yet, though it all interest me. I just passed my General and Extra exams and waiting on the FCC.
Hereβs my two options Iβm considering.
Setup A ID-5100 Mobile (70cm/2m/D-star) ID-5100 + PS Home (70cm/2m/D-star) IC-7300 + PS Home (6m -160m)
Setup B ID-5100 Mobile (70cm/2m/D-star) IC-7100 + PS Home (70cm/2m/6m -160m/D-star)
Of course Setup A is about $500 more expensive (if I shared the power supply) than Setup B.
Are the newer more feature rich 5100 and 7300 for the home worth the difference in cost?
The 7100 seems older and less capable. It has not had an update since 2016. Also you are stuck with one antenna connection.
You can guess I like Setup A better. But I want someone to tell me why I am wrong.
Are there other options I should consider?

I've been a T-mo customer going on 8 years. I'm still on the Simple Choice Plan from back in the day and i'll have anywhere from 6-10 lines throughout the year. Back when Legere was CEO my service was EXCELLENT. I also live in busy city areas and not in the middle of nowhere. I've been noticing over the past year, mostly when I got the Note 10+ and now the S21 Ultra... that service has quite frankly taken a shit. There's so many times when my phone will say I have 5G with 3-5 bars but actually have NO service or service like a snail. Then there's plenty of times where I just have the NO signal icon. The sad thing is im in BUSY areas, not rural and when I call T-mo to complain, their coverage map shows no problems.
Obviously its not my PHONES as im not the only Tmobile customer experiencing this. I just want to know how does signal get WORSE? I praised and promoted tmo to all my family and friends because hands down, it could not be beaten in terms of quality and price. Now im eating my words.
For reference im in the Sacramento area. South Sacramento currently. 95822
I've been working for about 4 years, I know the ropes, the loopholes, and I know what's going on 90% of the time. If customer service couldn't help you, I will do my best to help you.
With Bluestacks 5 having such massive improvements I'd be just as happy if we continue to get stable emulator iterations. Will be even happier if the talked about native Windows support for them or a base Windows Android client really happens.
It's nice when PC clients run well; it's even nicer when emus do and devs can focus their attention solely on the game working well for Android & iOS rather than a third port as well. We've seen how heavy these clients can be. I'd much rather have one emu installed than tons of different clients for every single game, each of which I have to open to run updates on vs games on emus which can auto-update games through the Play Store. I see how many games some players on here juggle, and even with the handful I play and dabble in on occasion I know I'd cut that down significantly if I had to do separate downloads and updates for every single one.
I also don't want the added headache that always came with these clients in the past for PC games: the dev house/publisher eventually bloating it up with "Download now!" for all their other titles. Mihoyo directly mentioned that the purpose of their client is go help them better bring their titles to players, so that's clearly in the pipeline.
There have also been instances for days or more of certain PC clients having issues that the mobile versions don't, most recently a large number of players being locked out of HI3 on PC. That wasn't fun.
Lastly, both Samsung and Apple have shown via Dex and Apple's native app support with their new SoC that hardware producers can bring PC-integrated experiences to mobile play, offering yet another high-performance option for most games. There's no reason to think this won't become a norm, not to mention some of the gaming-focused mobile devices that continue to be released.
Honestly when HI3's client launched it was great. That game heated most phones up to the point of being worrisome, and as they worked the kinks out the PC port became incredibly smooth and even added controller support. It had its uses, but I don't know that it's going to remain a go to for much longer.
If emus continue to become even more improved, support controllers, and offer the benefits of being tied directly to the mobile ecosystem via running Android should there be a push for teams to try to develop and maintain a PC client on top of that? To me it just seems like it may lead to a lot of development hours being burned unnecessarily based on both the
... keep reading on reddit β‘Also, as far as people having issues with the friends features:
βWeβre currently exploring different social options for the free, ad-supported service on mobile. Right now, the ability to search for and follow your friends is unavailable. We hope to have more information about this soon.β
I never really used the friends stuff but the radio feature is something I used all the time. Looks like Iβm going back to Pandora.
Heyo, I'm a new ham that just recently got my Technician License on the 13th and have been interested in doing satellite communications for a few months now, I even purchased an Arrow II sat antenna back in mid February along with two Baofengs since they were cheap.
However, I noticed severe desensing on the receiving radio (Baofeng UV5X3) when transmitting with the F8HP (8 watt). So far the only solution seems to implement a filter or get a higher quality radio.
Does anyone have any recommendations on dual band full duplex radios or an HT that can block the strong transmissions from the receiving end? I would prefer a cheaper radio but I can spend around $450 on getting one.
Thanks so much!
I have a mobile radio that I normally run off of a fairly beefy 25 amp Pyramid regulated power supply. It works great, very happy with it, but there is some fan noise. I noticed when running my radio, the amp meter on the power supply never gets above 2 amps. I was cleaning the garage and ran across an old Radio Shack 12 volt, 1.75 amp unregulated power supply. I connected my radio just to see what it could do. The radio powers up, I can transmit, everything seems fine, and there is zero noise. Just when I was thinking this was awesome, I clicked on the radio power indicator, and it is showing 16v dc. I normally set the Pyramid at 13.5v. Is this just par for the course for an inexpensive, unregulated power supply? Should I stop using it and just go back the the Pyramid? The lack of fan noise is the only benefit.
