As much as I love the theories and close-reading research presented by the members of r/Jujutsushi, I can't help but think that we hold Gege in high regard and expect too much from him. He's obviously feeling the pains of writing weekly chapters and it's taking a toll on his body (it showed in the Perfect Preparation Arc and the numerous hiatuses). There was even talk of him wanting to rush to finish the manga and relax after its conclusion. Again, I just want to reiterate that we shouldn't expect the perfect Shounen manga from Gege.
I harbor no ill-will for this subreddits members or Gege Akutami. Just wanted to clear that up.
Naoya has proven unexpectedly popular, especially if you look at the recent popularity poll (I think a large reason for this is the notably large Japanese female reader base for JJK loves their Bishi boys, but thatβs another issue).
Many noted his apparent death came too soon. However while I do think Gege intended to kill him off, he is the only major Zenin character to not explicitly be shown as a corpse (his last scene is him screaming at Makis mother). This might be used as an excuse to show he survived somehow, or even if he indeed died I can see him coming back at a cursed spirit even given the circumstances of his death. Iβm pretty sure Gege brought back Toji as a zombie puppet for this same reason and can see this happening with Naoya

This must mean that either Jujutsu Kaisen will get a timeskip or timeskip's since he will continue to grow up to maybe 18 or beyond. If he does grow where do you think would happen in these years after the Culling Games? Training arc like most Shonen or maybe he goes abroad into the world like how Kenjaku is in China and theres maybe a link to Yuki and what she doe's abroad. Yuta went to africa for his, and Yuki is mainly an abroad sorcerer, so it makes sense if he does leave Japan.

First, we thought Amai is the one lying and 1.3k people really voted for him but Gege said no and there is no twist. He really makes it obvious that Remi is actually the traitor. Lmao... It's just that we overlook it too much.
Second, Many theorized the fight between Megumi vs Higuruma will happen first but it was actually Yuji and Higuruma. I'm excited about how this fight will turn out. Megumi first kill the next chapters? Hey, the culling game arc has just begun. Maybe we can get the Megumi vs Higuruma too.
I'm really loving Higuruma's character right now. He may enter in my Top 5 JJK characters soon
Been rewatching Naruto lately (Not here to hate on it i adore the series), and I am sadly reminded of how little Kishi does with his female characters. Of course this is something I have sadly noted in a vast majority of series I have read/watched (and not just japanese media but that isn't for this topic).
When I first watched JJK I thought Nobara was gonna be another typical third wheel female character who does something cool one or twice then gets sidelined. I mean..she kinda does (the series was so good I read the manga) but she does it by being a badass mofo. Maki is hands down one of the coolest characters ever especially with her latest chapter.
I just wish more people could write characters, especially women, like Gege does. I mean as an example in general, when Todo Aoi first showed up I thought..this dude is just gonna end up fighting a little bit and seem cool but otherwise will be a background character. Imagine how shocked I was when this secondary character shares the spotlight with the main protag not once (in the anime), but TWICE (and finishes the fight with a clap like the giga chad he is).
I would say one of the few other authors manga wise that come close is Oda-san, One Piece has plenty of awesome strong female characters but they still don't reach the level Gege has done IMHO in such a short amount of chapters. (And One Piece is probably my all time fav).
Sorry for the ramble, I am sure many of you already know/agree but I am new to the fandom and had to gush abit.
TLDR: Gege knows how to write everything.
