A list of puns related to "Gee (Girls' Generation song)"
This tweet is for any Germans or Germany fans on this sub: https://twitter.com/heinssa/status/1012010585997922304
Now, in case you're new to K-Pop, or at least K-Pop girl groups, then here's where you should start, with the greatest K-Pop song of all time by the greatest K-Pop band of all time, the 2009 masterpiece, "Gee" by Girls' Generation.
This song is widely recognized as not only one of their signature songs but also as one of the most iconic K-Pop songs of all time.
This came out before a point in time the K-Pop craze became nearly as big as it is now in the West, so it's obviously not as big as songs like "BOOMBAYAH" or "Mic Drop" nowadays but it is still a bop that won a shit ton of awards and has had a massive impact on the industry and really made it big. Ever since "Gee" was released, K-Pop started generating more interest amongst people, albeit gradually, and it is still considered one of the most essential K-Pop songs of all time.
If it weren't for this song, K-Pop would've taken a lot longer to reach popularity in the West, and bands like BTS and BLACKPINK wouldn't be nearly as big as they are.
Also, to all the South Koreans here: Y'all rock. I love y'all. I'm a Brazil fan, and because of that all of y'all are my best friends now because it's because of y'all that Germany finished LAST PLACE in their group as to where Brazil won theirs. Who's the failure now, Germans? #KarmaIsABitch #WeHaveBeenAvenged
Also, thank you to the Swedes for officially eliminating the Netherlands during qualifiers. Y'all rock too.
Also a quick shoutout to any Mexicans here for defeating Germany first. Couldn't've been avenged without y'all.
Also, in case Alisson Becker lurks this sub and sees this post, you rock (seriously I haven't been giving him enough credit up until yesterday's Serbia match).

This song literally changed my life.
So like, in 2008 I was rolling around being a miserable sack of shit because BoA had decided to jump ship from Korea many years ago and sold her soul to the Japanese market. She was producing garbage and like I didn't know what to do with myself.
Then in the cold of winter the nine ladies of SNSD came out with this track and since then my life has been like a marshmellow dream of happiness and oppahs.
Life = Changed
The lyrics really hit close to home for me. "You're so handsome" was deep. So much symbolism. I decided that this was going to save kpop. The nine ladies of SNSD were not demons sent to wage war against the lovely Wonder Girls, they were here to stay and take over the stage of the darlings of the great state of Korea.
I wept and balled my eyes out watching each and every performance that winter. I felt the joy of winning award after award. I spent many hours playing the video on repeat to get the view count up on the youtubes. My fellow SONEs and I spammed the comments letting everyone know that β₯β₯ HYOYEONβ₯β₯ was number one among the other girls.
10/10, lets discuss this KPOP CLASSIC because Korea not having fun yet.
I really want to listen to it with the screen off and I don't wanna get Youtube Red. I can never find it on spotify though. Is it under a different name?
