Hi, If you've taken a trip on our highways, you will notice huge sections of land where there are no trees and the land is just dead. There are tons of spots in the city that are barren as well.
What can we do? - we can create small micro forests within these spaces, it'll slowly expand over time(2-5yrs)and restore the land. Will help birds, insects and small animals. Perhaps veggies/fruits for those who wish to forage. Restoring the land requires mostly water and care. Given how often it rains in and around Bangalore, water shouldn't be a problem, catchment is. Manpower can be from this sub? like a reddit sub driven initiative,. perhaps even house the subs already existing meetups. Its low cost to execute, good for the planet and gives us a reason to get on the highways on weekends. Gives a purpose behind this sub (plant a tree to join the sub),. Don't think growing trees on public land should be an issue but we need to do some level of terraforming, which might be an issue

Due to low pay, scrub techs have resigned en-masse from this hospital. Instead of paying to hire scrub techs, the hospital has assigned upper level surgical residents to function as scrub techs whenever the need arises.
I can't confirm if all the above is true but can confirm that the redditor who sent me this is a resident at this program.
