The end of the Portuguese and French empires led to long and bloody wars of independence in Africa and many atrocities. In comparison, it seems that the British empire disappeared in a much more measured and negotiated way. Why this difference between the last colonial empires and their demise?

During slavery in the French & British colonial empires, did both empires influence each-other in their treatment of slaves?

I just finished reading The History of Mary Prince: A West Indian Slave Narrative, by Mary Prince and was wondering whether her treatment in the West Indies would have been in line with how slaves were treated in the French colonies at the same time-period.

As I was researching potential differences/similarities in how the slaves were treated in both imperial colonies, I couldn't help but notice the sheer difference in size, complexity and detail between the Code Noir (1685 - for the conditions of slavery in the French colonial empire) and the Barbados Slave Code (1688 - for the conditions and better governing of slaves in the British colonial empire.) Were there instances where British colonies adhered to the use or would quote articles from the Code Noir due to its more exhaustive nature, to justify their actions- or- were both codes even applied or respected at all.

Millionaire British Empire Colonial Pakeha Farmer Thieves, whipped in to a moronic racist, sexist outburst by hollow racist grifter fat fucks like David Farrar & co. Booted out of Britain because Royals & 'Barons' didn't want a French Revolution, so they backstabbed and stole our Homeland.

"The Battle of Waitaramea

Tutemakohu was either the son or nephew of the famous Kati Mamoe chief, Te Rakitauneke who won fame for the many battles he fought against Kai Tahu in his fighting retreat through Waitaha (Canterbury) and Otepoti/Otakou (Otago) to Murihiku..."

Wikipedia sources can be suspect, Colonial takes replicated in places Tauiwi get their information on Maori first - while Maori Media & Academia can be off fighting on plains of little influence. It's hard to get info on Kati Mamoe, as they were pushed in to survival mode by British Empire Colonial Pakeha Farmers. But this wiki seems relatively ok for now. Kai Tahu claimed all their land too for shared Settlement, because the Crown is a callous foreign thief whose individuals have betrayed before and still play sly games.

Notable for their alcohol abuse, wife bashing, kid bashing, pollution, drink driving deaths and suicide stats. And playing racist victim. Our local Orange Men. Instead of coming clean and facing their ill-gotten wealth and increasing pollution, like many who can read have figured out, they attack Maori, attack Women & act out. Whipped up into a childish pants-shitting fury to try and get attention by entitled, wealthy white criminal mob of hollow men, Altright, rightwing, land speculator Colonial Grifter Networks. Hiding behind fake profiles, with some lowlife Pakeha typically pretending to be Maori, to try and keep their White Coloniser Land & Subsidy Grift going.

The people who signed a Treaty and gave their word they would honour Maori, instead lied and backstabbed, deceived Maori in to prisons, attacked Mana Wahine, indoctrinated and created a kupapa collaborator class, lead Cavalry Charges on women and children, broke their bs Christian Rules of War, continue to manipulate Police into protecting their rackets built on fraudulent mandates, continue to invite colonials and push us out on to the streets and gaslight us etc etc now crying hard done by.
