People hate the Bates and rightfully so because they are bigoted and judgemental, but all these kids were brought up thinking their beliefs are right. The older kids should know better since they are adults, but there are young children involved as well. Remember people do not change over night. They would have to change their entire thought process.

Was it necessary for (who said it ) to mention George Floyd? Real question. The charade showed Lawson shooting down one of the youngsters with a pretend gun. It seems like for whoever to mention that, they were purposely being harmful. They also said it after the right answer was called out several times, and Lawson confirmed it was correct.

Is it possible that this person wanted to project the age old (and confirmed via countless research to be false) stereotype that POC , especially black males, are innately criminal and immoral and therefore should be HUNTED FOR SPORT, like animals?

Is it a coincidence whoever felt bold enough to say such a heinous comment about human life on the exact same day as the Rittenhouse verdict?

I find that hard to believe.

Here's what went down. UP was filming a charades game with the Bateses. Lawson drew HUNT and pretended to shoot one of the kids. Someone yelled George Floyd in the background and Carlin caught backlash. I doubt if UP will do anything but I hope it's edited out. I don't get why people tin they are better.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.

Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

Player Pool and Team Pool

I used the top 969 players who have at least 10000 minutes played in their career.

Why 10000 minutes played? Because that's the lower standard set by Basketball-Reference to get on their ABA career leaderboard (15000 MP for NBA). I added George Mikan, because even though he hasn't played enough minutes, he's featured in All-Time ESPN NBARank and Bill Simmons Hall of Fame Pyramid.

I started off with the current 30 teams. To split up the Lakers and Clippers, I gave the Clippers their proposed Inglewood site.

As I looked at the map of player hometowns, I realized that there were:

• some areas that had a lot of players, but few close NBA teams
• some areas that had bloated rosters with too many players

Based off city population and arena size, I added 25 new teams.

• I obviously had to give Seattle their team back
• Birmingham, North Little Rock and Shreveport helped to split up the South
• Pittsburgh and St. Louis were big cities without teams
• Berkeley added to siphon off San Francisco
  • if I add Oakland, it takes away too many players
• Anaheim and Westwood added in Southern California (Clippers & Lakers)
• Winston-Salem and Raleigh to pare down Charlotte
• Lansing to prune Detroit
• 2nd Atlanta team in suburb of College Park
• 2nd Washington team and Baltimore
• 2 more teams in Chicago (Rosemont and South Side) + a team in Gary
• 2nd Indiana team + Louisville & Lexington
• 2nd Philadelphia team in suburb of Wynnewood
• 3 more teams in the New York Area (Newark, Queens and Long Island)

So this is something a little different I’ve been working on. These are some coaches I think would be interesting names (and would likely be floated by a beat reporter or Twitter person) should there be an opening. Will there be openings? I’d like to think so. It seems like anything from 2-5 spots on the defense are going to be opening up, with the most likely numbers being 3-4 in my opinion. I’m going to preface this by saying that a DC is going to bring in HIS guys (subject to CDM’s approval, of course), so some guys on here (Arnett and White stand out) are probably going to eschew some of the more conventional names and big time recruiters to find guys that really fit their scheme. So there could, of course, be coaches hired that aren’t on here. This is just to give an idea of who could be brought in for each position group. So as we're all aware of by now, Carlin posted a now-deleted video on her Instagram story of her family playing Charades and somebody (it has been said that it was either Nathan, Trace, or Isaiah) yelled "George Floyd" when Lawson and one of the younger boys were trying to act out "hunting" during the game.

Carlin removed the video in question once she began to receive backlash from it, and issued an apology (and I use "apology" rather loosely, since it was apparent that she didn't write it or mean it to begin with).
