A list of puns related to "Flame polishing"
Since many of us settle for the 18/14 M/F glass adapter as a coil insert, have you ever been concerned with the ground glass scratching your cap? I thought about this and decided I didn't like the idea.
Most of my IH builds use a glass vial that is too tall or a wooden dowel that singes. I wanted to see what these adapters would do to my builds.
First of all, the coil size is bigger than I like but it works at 19mm ID. The length of the adapter is also sufficient for a full 20mm of coil and room for the lid of the project.
My adapter also allowed the VC to fall through. This little problem was solved as the heat drew in the hole a little. For 10 minutes of flame torching with propane, the texture is now a lot better.

The keyboard case is up on massdrop (along with mechanical keyboards.com). Does anyone know (or have tried) if the acrylic can be flame polished to have a clearer look opposed to the frosty look?
Does anyone have experience getting their dust cover flame polished? I tried the Novus polish kit on my Pioneer PL-518 cover but just ended up making it worse when I used my Dremel on a low setting to apply the solution.
Flame polishing seems like a viable route to take but I'm not entirely sure. I'd rather not shell out $100-$150 for a new cover. Thanks for any help!
I was cleaning my waterpipe the other day and I tipped over my down stem and it broke. Only the last half inch on the end broke off, and it broke somewhat cleanly. It still works fine, the end is just pretty sharp. Could I use my torch (for heating a nail) without a kiln to smooth out the sharp edges without any major risk of breaking my down stem? Sorry if this is the wrong sub.
Hey all,
Super simple question- has anyone here ever flame polished a part made from multiple layers of acrylic bonded with acrylic glue? I'm wondering what the quality is like- does it make the layers less visible? No issues with warping between layers or de-laminating? For some reason I can't find any tutorials or information about flame polishing multilayered acrylic. It's all clear acrylic if that changes anything. Thanks!
I took out the blades from a razor for the first time ever but theyβre like 2 years old (donβt ask why I have a 2 year old razor, donβt even know) so not sharp but itβs probably not a good idea to use it huh? I donβt sterilize my blades ever but how could I go about sterilizing this razor blade or my go-to blade?
As the title says I wanna plug my pc in but I am afraid that itβs gonna catch a fire and freaking burns the house down . Have nothing to put it off . How can I be sure it wonβt flame up ? My cpu used to get to 97 C so pretty hot
Edit: https://imgur.com/a/xm0m8TF here are some pictures . The cooler is broken a bit on 2 sides of his leg as you can see in the picture .
First time it booted Fan error was shown since it was loose . Reinstalled again , after 10 mins of moving that shit cooler left and right i gave with a up with a subpar result. Now after a bit of booting it is shutting down . Iβm done for today since I still have to work and am close to just take a bat and destroy that whole thing . See you tomorrow on part 2 how to set the cooler right . Also I assume some cables are not plugged in well and that is why it isnβt booting right .
Also might go and buy a new cpu cooler but my motherboard is old.
Should I try to get it in a store or rather on amazon since it might be hard to find . Also thanks for your help guys really appreciate it !!
